It would be nice if Porsche would enlighten us curious EV enthusiasts.

Like the link, but no turtle shown unless I'm blind...
The yellow symbols on Good to Know are unreadable/almost undetectable against the white background. I zoomed in 500% to be able to tell the symbol was a turtle.

Sad that many warning symbols on Porsche document for warning symbols can't be deciphered.

Got the infamous turtle yesterday.

It’s pretty cold outside, but nothing exceptional—I’ve seen much worse.

While traveling through a mountain area, I noticed that every time I hit an uphill section and needed more power, the dreaded "Turtle" icon would appear and cut the power. Once I got to a flat stretch or started heading downhill, it would disappear.

It was a bit nerve-wracking since I was moving much slower than the rest of the traffic at the top of the hills.

I eventually stopped the car, restarted it, and the Turtle icon was gone. I’m planning to take it to the dealer for a scan and will report back with any updates.

There is in mine (through the app) :

I found it, thank you for pointing this out. The icon as so washed out against the white background, I could not see it before. The explanation is not very clear on what causes the Turtle icon to trigger, as it uses "such as" language.

I got it when the HV battery was close to the high peak of 131F when I was charging without Battery Friendly option On, so the questions is why the dumb *ss BMS system of the car allows this to happen. I am obviously not doing this again and always will have Battery Friendly ON when charging at DC stations.

yes I have had that too. It was only momentary and once the cooling fan had done a bit of work it was back to normal before I had finished charging.

I thought the fans would fly away, as they were working to the max, not thank you again.

So apparently, it was a flap issue. Battery was not able to warm itself up because a flap was stuck open. Temperature was cold (-20C) and the car did this for protection... Codes were cleared and it did not happen again so far. I'll report back if I have something relevant to add.

Around here, with temps near 0 degrees F in mid-winter, getting the turtle is a risk, especially if you demand a lot of power. I find that, if I add power gradually, I can avoid the dreaded yellow turtle.

FYI, I ran many, many days below 0 F in the past 3 years without issue.

I think it was just a bug or stuck flap. When I restarted the car, it was ok.

Cars are not what they are used to be... analog vs digital era!!
