Why on earth aren't Porsche able to send the update out to everyone at the same time, rather than dripping it out randomly around the globe. They've had long enough to figure out how to send it surely, while trying to find some software for them to escape replacing everyone's battery. Frustrating as i'll have to take my car in next week for the 60 day monitoring. Oh and they want the car for 2 days ('but we'll try to do it in 1'). No courtesy car obviously as the problem is my fault and nothing to do with their quality control being off the chart awful. Still there is a lime bike bay just behind the garage, so i can get home.

Rant over.
I'm in the same boat. After receiving email and official letter, both with my VIN and stating OTA ARB6 update is available for my car, the dealer says it actually isn't and I will have to go for another 60 day check in 25 days from now. They will install the update in the workshop.

I took my car to the dealership on Tuesday and they did everything in one hour ABR6, at the end I asked if everything was okay and if I could already charge the battery to 100% and they answered yes and so I did, I have charged the battery to full, they also took advantage of the APR6 recall and also reprogrammed the left and right light modules...! Nobody at the dealership told me about 60 days for checking, in fact they did what they had to do or said they did and I waited an hour they returned the car to me after an hour and I just asked if everything was okay... and if from now on I could already charge the battery to 100% they answered yes... that's all...

Fair enough. Mine is also hard to get an appointment, but they always ask for the car for 2 days, to hopefully complete in 1. Ie, they’ll do stuff when it suits them, not me!

As aside, when I cancelled they did tell me another recall campaign just launched - for a headlamp overheating issue/software update. So worth checking they can do that if required for more car.

Cheers.
Many Thanks for the information
I keep my appointment that will allow them to update the front Light software if my Taycan need this new recall
Have a Nice day

I received the OTA notification for ARB6 update yesterday. .Completed it when I got home in the evening. All went fine. Is there any additional features / functions on the PCM as a result of the update or is it all working / monitoring in the background.

Do you get an alert either via the app or in the car when you next use it to confirm the update was successful?
The first time I tried it failed, and there was an alert in the car next time I got in to say so.
Next time I tried the update was not flagged as available, the next time the update was on the PCM screen but greyed out and couldn't be selected.
Just now I tried again, followed the instructions and got out and unlocked the car. The screen went blank when I opened the door but there was still a spinning icon and initialising the update this could take 3 minutes was showing until then.
No idea why it didn't work before - no alerts at all so far.

Got the update today, installed and got a notification saying that an update was successfully installed. Can now cancel my visit to Porsche. Quite impressive for Porsche to manage to do this remotely and saved loads of time.

I'm in process of buying from an OPC in the UK but literally yesterday the ARB6 appeared on the car. Does anyone know if UK OPCs still have a stop-sale on ARB6 cars, or if the dealer upgrade is fairly quick and easy?

I bought a '21 4s cpo some months ago while the arb6 was open and there was no stop sale. I doubt there is now. What i did though was negotiate hard, given the fact that the car had a 80% charging limitation, so what i achieved :

1. 2 years instead of 1 year cpo warranty initially offered at no extra price
2. $2,000 discount on the sticker price
3. Free 4-year maintenance carried out before delivery (which was normally due 4 months later)

I got the arb6 update done OTA yesterday and it run smoothly. Didn't notice any difference before and after update.

Now that the OTA update is available and as this clears the ARB6 recall I suspect the stop sale has ended.
The update takes 7 minutes. If for some reason it doesn’t arrive the dealer may need to get it pushed out again.

I sent in my 4s a few weeks ago for this and the brake recall. They said my battery was fine and Porsche wants to snapshot all the diagnostic information. They gave me my 4s back and when I check online, the recall is still active. Seems fine to me but it's not something you can tell until it goes wrong
