given that current conditions in the UK make a boat a legitimate alternative to a car, was wondering what the max wading depth of a taycan is?

spotted this in youtube. as Imagined, I guess EVs are a way more solid bet vs ICE in such conditions

An EV is potentially better than an IC engined car, both the weight being less likely to float and not having a low air intake to hydraulic the engine.
We drove through a flood on New Year's eve with no problem, but it wasn't as deep as the video!!

Been up to the bottom of the doors over the past few days, no issues so far.
3 years ago I had a BMS failure in the Tesla I had doing the same thing, it got me home but was dead the next morning.
So the Porsche seems better built than a Tesla..................shock.

Not a problem!

Worst case scenario is a bit of water leaks in through the door seals and the carpets gets a bit damp and the windows steam up.

Then all you need to do is turn the heater o..... . . . .

Actually, best keep it dry if possible.
😁

Model S or early Model 3?

I just put the air suspension on “high” and carry on through in the MX

Yeah good to watch. But did it work the next day once the water seeped past the various connector seals. Etc.

also reminds me of this…

Better be confident of the depth of that standing water before you charge on thorough. 😅

It was a M3P which i had got after the MX because its air suspension failed, along with the half shafts, rear doors and MCU, which I had got when my MS suffered a drive unit failure, the obligatory door handle failures, yellow border and throttled charge speeds......utter PoS the lot of them.
