Nice configuration. Your payment with depend on the interest rate you qualify for and the residual value of a 5 year old Taycan Turbo with 51K miles. Once you get the numbers, post at least the residual value - it would be interesting to know what that is.

I’m going to guess about $2,200 a month give or take a $100. Close?

New Turbo 10k miles a year is 53% RV, MF from PFS 0.0032
The RV was 45% a couple of month ago but Porsche raised it to balance out the horrible rates.

I only lease EVs and I wouldn't lease in this rate environment.

Yea more like $3,000 / month

6 year old Taycan residual can’t be more than 40%; which is $72K

If you are buying for $150k, that means you need to pay $80k in depreciation over 3 years, PLUS the interest expense…at what, 7% from Porsche? That’s about $20k over 3 years. So, carry the two…round the one…add taxes…

Money factor is horrible right now on leases. My wife just ordered a Land Rover. I asked supervisor what the money factor is currently, he said about 10%. She’s currently in a RR sport sport with a money factor of 3%. We will most likely just buy it as local credit union is about 3.2%. Money factor of 9-11% on a depreciating asset is insane.

So they have quoted me $4000 down and $4300 a month on a lease which takes it to $158800 for 3 years . the car itself right now is $150k . I have never ever seek such numbers. I have leased many cars but these numbers make no sense.

Bonkers! I saw some crazy lease rates from merc a few years back when trying to get an E Wagon. The money factor worked out to 9%+. 36k mile lease for three years would have cost 90% of vehicle’s purchase price. Made no sense to me and even the sales guy admitted it would be smarter to finance. Walked next door and bought a Panamera Wagon instead with a mid 3% interest rate.

Leasing used makes sense if the car is an exotic that doesn't lose much value, like a 911GT3. This way you can sell the car at the end of of the term for close to what was paid for it

This makes sense. Lease through the OEM new is the only way

How many year RV's? 2 year, 3 year, 4 year? For a 4 year it would be an excellent RV, at least pre 8% a year inflation. I think I got 54% RV on a 4 year lease once, it was a a brand new, redesigned model of Toyota 4Runner.

7.68% interest rate, ouch (yes I know, the rates are up there right now, still more than I ever recall paying on a car loan or lease).

I quoted a 3 year
4 years is atrocious. 41% RV, .0034 MF

My RS E-Tron GT, 36months, 12k a years was 62% RV .00402 MF

RV's are always higher for a brand new model. I also suspect high inflation will push all residuals up a bit, as will losing EV subsidies. 62% at 3 years @12Kmiles a year is amazing, but possible with a brand new model and possibly some manufacturer subsidy.
