CT alarm issue, how common is it?

What does the double click do? Does it turn of the alarm?

Yes, it turn off cabin monitoring. PCM does not hold set up of turning off internal cabin monitoring for some reason...so why providing access to switch it off?

It is a ridiculous software bug. I programmed mine to turn it off AND I checked the box to prompt when powering down the car. It constantly turns itself back on, even though it is checked to not be on. The software engineers need to drive these cars daily and they will figure out some of the software annoyances.

I still think there might be a hardware issue with interior monitor though that causes it to go off too.

ive gone almost a week without the alarm.. until last night!! Charged overnight and it went off - i did the double click lock and it still went off. think charging has something to do with it and keeping it awake?

Does anyone have this problem with 2019-2021 models? I have had 2022 4S for a month and it happens unexpectedly like others have described.

Anyone have this problem but have not installed the app yet (I mean not even installed once)? I have had this car (MY21 CT4) for over a month now and no problem yet, but I have not installed the app to avoid this problem. Not sure if it matters though, the problem seems quite random.

I hope they find a solution. I use the app a lot in my current car. To pre heat / cool. To locate the car sometimes. To send destinations to my car for navigating.

How do you turn the alarm off? With the app or with the key. My garage is close to my bedroom window. But I can imagine this is less fun when the car is parked across the street and you have to get up and find your key.

I do the incar display when it shows and the key double click. It went midnight to 5am without an alarm, then 2x until i just left it unlocked.

Sleeping from midnight until 5 am. Remembers me when the kids where younger. Don’t want to go back there. My car will be in my garage so I don’t need to lock it fortunately.

Nope. I've had my car for only a week. Get ready to wake up all your neighbours! LOL

But seriously, I think you need to just turn off the interior alarm. My detailer just left the car unlocked in his garage.

I have not yet encountered this problem on my 2021 CT4, but I did intentionally leave the app out of my phone from day 1. No idea if it would generate this error or not, seems like it from some posts made earlier.

Car was at the dealership past 2 days - they are not aware of the issue with the alarm - yeah sure...
They supposed to have call with Germany this morning as they do not have solution...as we know.

So fare my car is complete and flawless (including plug and charge with EA that is working) except Alarm and car does not lock if you touch handle from driver size (close and open right away) works with all other doors.

I have asked them to turn off from their managing system the Cabin surveillance - will see if they or not doing this afternoon.

Remain double click on the FOB or leave the car open for now.

On my sedan, whether I click one or twice, the lights seem to flash in the same pattern. How do I know if the double click worked?

There is a quirk when you walk by and the car (have the fob in your pocket) and it unlocks and you do not open the door and the car will re-lock and then the alarm issue re-appears. I have not tested it getting out of the car and never locking it to see if it locks and the interior monitoring turns itself on.

Porsche could make the interior alarm stay off with the software. The issue is, it turns itself on even when you have it unchecked to never be on. Obviously we want the interior alarm to work, but at least let it stay off if we uncheck it in the PCM.
