Out of curiosity, what would your options be from a legal perspective? Does the dealer or Porsche have any responsibility beyond repair? Can they keep the car indefinitely or can you invoke the lemon law (in the US at least)?
I can likely invoke the lemon law. The problem is is a friend of mine did that when he got rid of his McClaren 570 that was in the shop more then not and got a 600 L T. They gave him to value to the car to apply to the new one. I got a massively good deal for my Taycan T. It was a 2020 i got in 2021 for $15,000 under MSRP. It had 20 miles but had to be sold as a demo b/c Porsche doesn't allow that much of a discount. So if they gave me full credit I would at best pay MSRP for a new one.

Welp, there goes my hope for a fast resolution this month. What ETA are they now providing?
I didn't ask for an update after they told me it would be the 3rd week of February.
I had a Macan base as a loaner for 2 1/2 of the months I've been without the TT. They just got a Taycan base in the fleet that they gave me to replace the Macan super slow boring Base.
So I'm less mad now because I'm at least back into an electric especially with these gas prices.

It depends on the state, but in Washington for example when it comes to lemon law you have the right as a consumer to choose between a replacement (an equivalent car, so you'd keep your discount) and a repurchase. Requesting an exact replacement might be cool, it'd likely take months but you'll essentially get the same car with 2 years of refreshes applied for free, potentially.

Oh, I got to look that one up for Illinois. That would be well worth it.

My battery finally arrived last week. I haven't had the Taycan since Christmas. It's been waiting at the shop for more than 4 months. I called Porsche last week and asked them to do something for me. I haven't heard back yet. I at the minimum want the 2 year CPO warranty on top of my factory warranty. It was supposed to take a couple of days to install it but it's been a week now. They must be having more problems.

I finally got her back! The service manager was great. While he had her, he fixed 3 of the Mission E wheels that had paint damage. I guess when the big battery went down, the other batteries died too. That's one reason it took longer for the install. So far it all seems to work. Now we'll see what Porsche offers me.

PM me if you want to know the best way to deal with compensation. My car was out of service for a long time too, glad you got it back.

Thanks! They are supposed to get back to me by Friday. I'll let you know what they offer.
