I am... everyone has a different story.

My 2021 Taycan S was totalled by an idiot driver, here in FL. I have a new one on order, expected late November (maybe??)

Anyway, I've been looking at a Genesis GV60, obviously a much different car. Quirky looking and half the price.. Can't decide..

Just hang on - purchase delays and reliability are painful! But on the days it works! It’s just simply awesome.

I already got the VLC roof removed by Porsche last month. So far, Bose is still in there probably because I have a GTS build that was frozen 11 days ago. But If for some reason I lose the Bose too, I might bail having personally experienced just how bad the base audio system is. Or I might delay my order for a 2024 model when hopefully I'd be able to get VLC roof and Bose in addition to whatever updates might come with a potential mid-cycle refresh.

Too early for a mid-cycle refresh I suspect. Deferring to MY24 (July) is not a bad Idea but potentially risky too - who knows what's on the horizon.

I am. My GTS is waiting @ my dealer without the 12v bat with no estimated date for conclusion and deliver. Some threads suggest conclusion to be only January 23. To be honest, I’m tired of waiting and the whole experience is already ruined. Started to check available pre-owned cars.

That’s what I’m doing, got a 4S on order but been looking at late used cars as I now think I won’t see my ordered car this side of Easter. Given the recent turmoil in the U.K. economy I’m reconsidering the whole thing, not sure paying a premium on a used car would be the smartest move now. Head and heart as usual, but I think there will be a rise in cancelled orders.

you decide here's our story:
----------------------------------
we ordered a '21 CT4 in May of 21.
delays delays delays delays delays delays delays
produced (or at least we got a VIN) right before the factory shut down for the summer holiday

summer holiday over. now they are building 22's

more delays

we said forget it. we cancelled it an ordered a '22 same spec.

the '22 arrived Dec 14th

incredibly, the '21 did exist after all and showed up at the dealer mid January.

I wonder if the ongoing crazy delays are going to turn some people to the used market. Getting a Taycan that may not have exactly what they want (can be close) that they can start driving and enjoying immediately?

I've had a GTS ST allocation deposit in for almost a year now, figured it was going to be delayed. 12V battery no problem, VLC no problem, Bose okay.... kind of annoying....

I ended up getting lucky and finding an incredibly well specced 2021 CT4 (batmobile looking) that an out-of-state dealer sold to me for MSRP with zero games. So been getting to enjoy the EV Wagon I want without TOO many compromises, and while I still long for the GTS ST the dream of getting that just seems farther and farther away.

It is a car that is worth the wait. I feel lucky that my 2022 4S was built before the war in Ukraine as I didn’t have to deal with as many supply chain issues.
