Post the link to that page. The best the US shows is 270’s, an that’s the AMCI test methodology, which is not real world.

318miles

Maybe range should be for a different thread, this one is about the electrical system failure which I have had twice now in 6 weeks of ownership and am quite annoyed. I wondered if the battery was faulty and why the range is only max 210miles. But I know now that 210miles is normal and 220miles in range mode compared to the rubbish printed on the website. (this is in the plus 93kw/hr battery). Let's move the range discussion to another thread and concentrate this one on the electrical system fault which is a serious problem.

I think I was one of these people. Car was bricked Friday. Towed to Porsche dealer. They couldn't replicate the issue and it worked perfectly for them every time they tested or charged it. The work order says "found inactive faults in the high voltage charge unit. Found faults would not return." So I guess I just hope it doesn't happen again.
I read on another forum here about removing the key from close to the car and returning after a while and the fault was gone. Thats why i bought a faraday box and store the keys there. When one came up with the error after trying 3 or 4 times I switched key to the one in the box and it started first time. No idea if its linked but imagine the key was not letting the car reset until it was in the box and then a computer restart fixed it. Its all conjecture and will see if it was a fluke over the next few days

I did that multiple times. I even went to work in my wife's truck and took the keys with me. With the yellow electrical error it works and a few people have had luck on the red error. However, I believe the red electrical error is going to re-occur.

Finally got an answer after the dealership went back and forth with Porsche USA, they are replacing the on board charger. So far I've been its been 2 weeks without Kermit and they're guessing another 2 for the part to come in. I picked up a Cayanne as a loaner on Thursday (finally). I'm frustrated it took them about two weeks to diagnose what was needed.

I'm really hoping this isn't too much of an omen.

2 Weeks old today and 1850kms on it and got the red electrical system fault as i was driving,
i pulled in turned it off ,rang Porsche breakdown, no answer !
Restarted after 10 minutes and drove 50kms with no issues.
Sudden loss of power when driving was a bit disconcerting ,a heavy car that comes to a stop abruptly.
I Rang porsche when i got to the office and told them and their response was it should be ok !!

so the power was lost as you were driving? that sounds hugely dangerous!

yep stomach dropping moment :)
I'm super nervous now, I had the red brick notice and they fixed it by replacing HV charger and it appeared again when i got the car back and went away after 15 minutes so have no confidence it will not do the same to me again.

Sounds to me they misdiagnosed the problem. I'm guessing a battery (or at least, a battery cell) is the real issue.

I'm really sorry you're going through this - that applies to everyone suffering in this thread. I hope it is fixed quickly and you're able to enjoy the car again.

My car is still sitting at the dealer waiting on Germany to respond to the PRMS as the dealer could not get the car to clear the error/start. I am noticing an increase in the red electrical error happening recently. The FB group has had a few posts in the past week since I had my error occur. The only thing I had done was let it charge to 100% overnight as I was going to be doing a lot of driving over the weekend and went out a week ago Saturday to the error. Maybe there is something happening to the HV charger, a cell or more, or the HV battery when you charge to 100%. Pure speculation. Will post once Germany responds to my dealer.

I'm at 17,XXXKM on the car and after unplugging from my usual charging place at work (level 2), as I was backing out, I got this error message. First time ever.... I turn off the car and turned it back on... and it went away... hoping it was just a glitch...

Hope it is a glitch for your too. Seems to be happening to more people lately. Mine happened after being on my level 2 charger at home.

I just had the problem today. The car was parked for 3 weeks, charged to 85%. Today as soon as I got in it, the error showed up, and I could not engage D or R. I waited and tried a few more times, same result.... I'm a bit mad at the moment, because if I cannot trust a car with 5000 km to start again, how can I travel with it anywhere?

Let's see what Porsche says....

This is essentially what happened to me, although parked for 1 week, not 3. I'm told it's an issue with the 12v battery and my dealer feels fairly confident that is the issue. I should have a firm answer and hopefully the car back today. Will update....

I’m sure it isn’t. I checked.
