I think that a crooked badge could have a significant impact on wind resistance, possibly reducing 0-60 by as much as 10%, or, even more depending on the crookedness of the badge. I also would very careful on aggressive cornering. That extra wind resistance could affect the airflow during turn-in possibly altering the balance of the car. In extreme cases, the Taycan would handle much more like a rear engined 911 and become tail heavy much like the early 935 turbos. Careful, be very, very careful.?
Actually. it seems to be improving cornering, but only when turning left. ?

Is it the picture or is it off?
It looks off.
It's in the exact same position where the original, golden one, was (maybe slightly more aligned)

I recently looked at mine and couldn't help but notice that while the top of the badge seems to align perfectly, the bottom seems off:
With so many talented comedians posting hilarious responses on this thread, I feel awkward posting a serious response, but here goes. The crest is normally removed for PPF and maybe other treatments. Perhaps your detailers did this? In any case, it's easy enough to fix.

I never used any detailers. There isn't really that much room for adjustment either, there are two posts on the back of the emblem and two holes into which they go. I never noticed until I was swapping out the emblems. I'm glad I always take before/after pictures, so went back to make sure it was that way before I took it off, and sure enough, it was.

The green line is what appears to be the center line of the hood indent, while the red one is what is the center of the hood badge. I think the hood indent is not quite matching the badge. Bad factory QC, or hoods for marketing materials get hand built?
I cant believe that you owned a Tesla....and one made in Fremont.

How did your nerves stand it?! ?

Lol. I’ve seen some bad examples of fit and trim issues, my 4 Model S’es were not so bad. After some initial corrections they held up pretty well too. I’ve learned over the years (especially once you start looking at mm’s) that no car fit and finish is perfect. Actually Japanese cars in my experience have been the “tightest”. Porsche is pretty good so far, but we’ll see once I start digging deeper into the Taycan, like removing front or rear bumper aprons (will likely have to do that to finish the radar/laser install) - when putting cars back I usually notice more asymmetries and imperfections, that’s why I always take high res before pictures - the imperfections are usually there from the start, except I never noticed before (like with the hood emblem).

I'm also into small details on my 4s, and so I've got to say, I like this thread!

Best of all, you've shown a great sense of humor about the whole thing, even though I'm sure you are a bit irritated, as I would be. My favorite is the new Porsche Option - Porsche Dynamic Crest Alignment (PDCA)
