Porsche NA delays reimbursement payment for charger replacement

Been over 4 weeks and still no payment. Now Porsche saying payments delayed for over 6 weeks. Considering the last time I had my TAYCAN at the dealer to fix leaking battery compartment and defective heater , all which took 6 weeks, you have to wonder just how inefficient Porsche NA is that it takes over 6 weeks to send out a check

A few people submitted immediately, more submitted shortly after, and then the flood gates opened when we realized everything is eligible for the rebate. Mine took five weeks from submission to check receipt, and I submitted February 23.

Make sure when you take your car in for its next service and you pick it up - when they ask for payment tell them:

"I am experiencing some delays and will work to resolve them as soon as possible. Please anticipate receiving a check by mail within approximately 6 weeks".

I submitted and received an automated e-mail response on February 26. Crickets since then.

This premium brand comes off as badly disorganized and uncoordinated.

Can you really charge $200,000+ for cars and have a cash flow problem? Sounds like it.

They are reviewing each submission and only refunding the amount of purchase, up to $600. Given the time spent, they'd probably have saved money by just verifying the VIN and cutting a $600 check to everyone in the recall.

Yes I thought this and thought why? My theory for why they didn't do this is that it is all from the legal department. They need a paper trail showing you understood that the 14-50 pigtail can cause a fire. It really isn't the culprit, the culprit is cheap 14-50 outlets, but the distinction is subtle, and if someone is hurt, Porsche could be liable for a big lawsuit. They need you to effectively agree not to use the pigtail until you get a replacement with a temperature sensor. They are paying you $600 to enter into this agreement and demonstrate you have another charging option. Just sending $600 to owners wouldn't do that. My current pigtail into a Hubble outlet stays only slightly warm at full power. I've used it for a year with no problems.

I’ve been waiting since December so almost 14 weeks give or take

Sorry if this is redundant, but I completely missed the boat on this. How is a claim regarding the charger submitted? Is it through the dealer or via the My Porsche web page? If it’s the latter, then I can’t find it.
I had to show my Credit card receipt ? And the amazon receipt as I purchased a charge point charger myself then had it installed, so these receipts are to be submitted to your Porsche Dealership from where you purchased your Vehicle I myself just went back to the sales person who sold me the car, and he took copies of the respective paperwork. Then he is or was supposed to submit the paperwork to Porsche NA, but like I said this was December 22nd?? Give or take a day

Just an FYI though if I remember correctly the reimbursement amount is only up to 600dollars USA
