I think… panoramic roof, big battery, sport chrono, privicy glass. Not for me but selling to the next owner in 3 years. What are the must-haves?

big battery, sports chrono and full leather. I think the bigger dc chargers are standard now?

I chose my spec for me, not the next buyer but these are my thoughts if looking for a used Taycan!
The thing I hate on any car is "privacy" glass, it makes then all look NAFF IMO, so any car with it is ruled out immediately.

I don't like the look of the glass roof either, and the number of cracks reported and the cost of replacement makes me glad I got the sculpted ally roof. It wouldn't be a "I won't buy that Taycan" to have it but I look for one without.

I am particularly bored by black interiors, which are bad for economy in summer because of the extra load on the A/C but most of the Taycan choices are mainly black anyway so few nice choices. I personally look at anything other than black.

On long journeys the ventilated massage seats are a big step up in comfort, and are the best option I chose in the opinion of my family.

You are in the UK and typical UK back roads are much better with the chassis mods, I have torque vectoring, rear wheel steer and PDCC. When I look at a used Taycan the first 2 are a must and I like PDCC too.

I also look for non-monochrome paintwork. I don't know if this is good or bad, most cars in the UK are monochrome which makes coloured cars rare in the used market, but maybe most UK buyers don't like the available colours??

Depends who you ask. Search the forum for old build and wait threads. Some won't buy without glass roof, others won't buy with one. Some need to have their powered charge port, others will not touch it. Same for ceramic brakes, particular colors, gold accents. 21" wheels, rear wheel steering, 5 seats, etc, etc, etc.

There are more Taycan options combinations than Porsche will ever produce. It definitely is one of the more personalizable car you can order. If you are really trying to maximize resale value, avoid all custom builds, get a base Taycan demo car a local (to you) dealer has ordered, as they might now the most generic Taycan likely to sell, and base trims will few options hold their value the best. Alternatively get a launch cars Porsche configured for the dealer, hoping Porsche knows what sells best in your area.

On the other hand, what's the fun in getting the most average Porsche you can get?

My advice, get a car with option YOU want, unless the only thing YOU want is any Taycan, the options are for the next owner. YOLO!

The big battery is likely the only must have….keeping in mind that most buyers are not enthusiasts….the glass roof for most regions is also a big plus.

Mine has RW steering/air suspension, BOSE, pano roof and P+ battery. Don't regret any of those and they're what I would look for.

The only thing I might spec if buying again is sport chrono, but I don't miss it as I don't have it! And I dislike privacy glass as I'm not a drug dealer ?

Not bothered about sport plus. Had it on my last car and only used it on the test drive..... six years later it was still the only time it was used......

Hard to find a used one without a glass roof, last car I could see out of from the driver's seat was a Beetle, and it ruins the lines of the car anyways.

Here's my minimum and maximum (smoking package negotiable) for anyone in the US with the same idea, will pay 125% of appraised depreciated value.

Good point about drug dealers! I hate them on 911s but here they look better.

I had sport chrono on my 911S and in 12 years of ownership never used it. Now that's a car where it's relevant. So I am really wondering why anyone would pay to put one on a Taycan other than as a gimmick. Better uses of a budget to fund things that really impact performance, like RAS.

And if I was buying a car I'd be more interested in funding my requirements rather than next owner.

Others have already covered the whole "why are you prioritizing some stranger's desires over your own?" aspect of all of this, so I'll take a different tack.

There is literally no universal "must have" option. Yes, even the larger battery.

It adds extra weight and expense. If you are one of those people for whom that extra 10% of range means not having to stop in order to get to a frequently-traveled destination, then it absolutely makes sense to spring for the larger battery. I eventually decided that I was not one of those people, and I'm deriving much more utility from the other features that I chose instead.

Problem is that most buyers still have range anxiety so the bigger battery is a safety blanket. Without it, a used Taycan would be a little harder to sell.

Sorry, I thought the initial part of my comment made it clear that I'm firmly in the camp of people who have absolutely zero concern for anybody else's opinion about my car.

It is strange how Porsche don’t have adaptive cruise control as the standard. If you buy a lowly VW Polo there is so much as standard today. If you haven’t used it you don’t know what you are missing.
