based on my local testing the Supercharger network is _NOT_ generally open to VW/Audi/Porsche vehicles at this time. If you get it to function then "good for you" - but at this time, there is no indication that the Tesla Supercharger network is generally open to VW/Audi/Porsche vehicles - it may work at some sites - but that may be a fluke or only regional, you can not plan/rely on using superchargers as part of your road trip planning until we have official confirmation from Tesla/VW/Audi/Porsche that the network is expected to function for their vehicles.

^ That’s because the result was using a driver’s own adapter instead of the integrated adapter.
I was using my own adapter, and it's a v4 site, but does not have MagicDock's integrated - so for now the results are irreproducible beyond single sites or charging sessions.

I thought all V4 chargers by definition have integrated Magic Docks?
However, some V4 stations definitely do not have their Magic Docks activated.
Which means that the presence of their Magic Docks would be difficult to discern.

my theory is the site that was reported on this thread is a V4 MagicDock site - and that's why the OP was able to start/enjoy a charging session - it would've worked with his own adapter or the provided V4 adapter - and as we all know - MagicDock sites work with all CCS1 vehicle's - no activation required for specific vehicle vendors…

based on my testing today and the reports of the OP - I can not confirm that the supercharger network is open for general use - but remains functional for a small subset of magic dock sites - which if they happen to be part of your trip make these specific supercharger locations available for use for non-Tesla's

you can not yet plan/rely on Superchargers working until Tesla/VW/Audi/Porsche announce support has been enabled - it's rumored this could happen in June of 2025 - stay tuned

but the reports of the supercharger network working for Taycan's has been greatly exaggerated.

Great investigative work Dave! Based on your report of the app temporarily reporting availability, I'm guessing this may be a test by Tesla? Pretty haphazard to do it in a prod app.

I wonder if this was just a fluke, the supercharger lost the ability to connect to servers to validate which cars are allowed to charge, so it defaults to "allowed" in order to make customer experience better. Or maybe the server went down and all superchargers briefly allowed Taycans (hence Dave's experience with the map showing all CCS capable locations as available to the Taycan).

Or maybe it got enabled by accident, but they scan the internet for stories like this, so they found this one, so someone reverted the change on the servers. Perhaps we need access levels on the forum, so that not all content is viewable by guest or brand new users? There are forums out there which enforce such tiered access for exactly this type of reason (e.g. rdforum.org) - so that cleaver workaround or exploits don't leak out and get closed quickly, rendering them useless.

^ Although such intricate explanations are intriguing, the OP's picture clearly showed a V4, which by definition has a Magic Dock, so if it was enabled (which most are, but not all), then a driver's own adapter can be substituted for the integrated adapter. (I can replicate this the next time I visit a Magic Dock.)

Good idea. I'm surprised nobody here has tried this before.

Just picked up a new to me 2022 Taycan 4S. Road tripped from Chicago to Atlanta and stopped at a Tesla Supercharger. Was able to charge using my NACS adapter with no issues. Happy we can use these chargers!

What brand adapter did you purchase. I looked on Amazon and there’s quite a few choices. I’d like to purchase the one you have since I know it’ll work.

Was that a V4 Magic Dock location (I know you used the NACS adapter...)?. The v4 locales are the only ones that show in the Tesla app for the Porsche Taycan.
I did not see any magic docs but didn’t look. This location is in Charlotte NC SW of town.

Unless anyone has information to the contrary, purchasing a DCFC adapter other than Lectron or A2Z seems unwise.
Granted, I have been using a rather random Godzilla Superpower Number One NACS>J1772 AC L2 adapter, but I wouldn't mess around with DC.
This video shows how an adapter could cheap out on some potentially important attributes:
