Using Tesla chargers with an adapter

I have the 80A TeslaTap (not Mini) and it's worked great the few times I've needed it. Fits nicely in the underfloor storage in the trunk.

It fits nicely in one of the trunk side cubbies and doesn't rattle around.

That’s exactly where I keep mine. Have not needed it yet but it’s great insurance on a trip.

I've spent three days in three different hotels in Canada (Salmon Arm, Banff, Whistler) and have used mine in each. Plenty of hotels here have tons of Tesla chargers and only a few (or no) J1772s. The Tesla destination chargers are often capable of charging at the full 9kW which is nice.

I have a TeslaTap Mini, and I only lock it on the cable side. The car keeps the adapter locked to the car anyway, the car side padlock is only needed for cars that don't lock their charge port.

Nope, not at all. Destination (AC) chargers are not connected to their network or authorized in any way.

Only Superchargers, which won't work.
