Hi all,

I have been thinking about the following 4S for a while (waiting for a testdrive in september with a Taycan with active ride):
http://www.porschecode.com/PSY8UMS5

But today I spotted a ‘25 Turbo S. It has about 10k kilometers on it, 4 months old and priced at around 170k. Here is the config code:
http://www.porsche-code.com/PSQKHL64

Options wise, it is very similar to what I want, even the exterior color is right! But it’s just missing the PAR (which I feel I really want) and some other (minor) things.

I wonder how different the Turbo S drives compared to the 4S? Besides the obvious drag-times.
Also is it not suspicious that the car lost over 80k value in 4 months?!

Would love to hear opinions!

If the turbo s checks out all ok, I'd take that, active ride is nice but not that nice. Very big discount on a nearly new MY 25!
Agreed, especially with depreciation hit taken by someone else and potentially a better warranty if it’s CPO too

it has CPO warranty and also like 20 months regular warranty. I would get the extended warranty anyway.

But driving dynamics wise, is it any different than the 4S? Or is it just the raw power that is the difference?

That’s incredible, it’s a dealer demo model, and Porsche approved!

At least older models, from 4S to Turbo S, drive similarly in regular traffic.

incrementally more raw power

If the only difference is the raw power, then I think I am more inclined to take the 4S though. The Turbo S misses the Active Ride and massage seats. Considering I often make decently long commutes for work.
Also, I dont want to lose my licence :CWL:

But I find it strange that a 250k car loses 80k in 4 months and 10k KM…

I must say the ventilated massage seats are the best option I chose in the opinion of my wife and I like them too.

My choice was more chassis and interior biased than power simply because that is what I notice most and more power is not worth the extra cost for the amount of time I'll use it, whereas the chassis options and the look and comfort of the interior are enjoyed on every drive.

Value for money and acceptable depreciation are personal decisions but based on the two configurator links I much prefer the 4S and it would definitely be my preference.

It’s about 30% discount off MSRP — 20% is depreciation, and the other 10% could be the dealer’s margin and or an extra discount to move a tough color.

That is my best chance of a discount!
The "tough colours" are the ones I like best, including this one :)
Sadly finding one without privacy glass or black interior is also tough and they are no-no

Its a great offer, but in the same way a red flag that the J1.2 isnt immune to the EV-depreciation. However since you are looking for a 25' Taycan I would rather have the Turbo S with a good discount (and extended warranty - costs about 2500euro for an extra 2 years) then a brand new 'common' 4S that would clearly depreciate 30% the second you it touches the asphalt.

I've got the massage seats in my CT TS and, sure it is nice but not a game changer. And reading about the AR from @Perry it isnt a deal breaker. The J1.2 has the new updated airsuspension which based on other post here also add a different feeling

Try the Turbo S - worst case you set it in range mode, locked at max 120kph, and then you get to keep your license and money :giggle:
