I sort of regret not trying launch control in my test drive, but since I have never used such a thing on UK roads I am not sure it makes any difference for me.
Mind you, when my Taycan is delivered I will be quite tempted to try a launch.

I’m going to be unpopular and say my one word was “meh”.

Granted, I only have a 4S.

But there’s just no drama to it.

So, it takes off quick, okay, but then nothing changes. Just more quick acceleration. A couple seconds in and I feel like staring at my watch to see if it’s done yet.

“Oh, is it still accelerating? ? Wake me when it’s done.”

It’s just not the same as a redline and a shift. ?

Concussion.

The second time I did a launch control, it was on a slightly rippled pavement (as I discovered later), and the car did a violent traction control oscillation which whiplashed my head against the headrest 2-3 times. I was braced for a steady positive g force, and not the rapidly pulsing nonsense of whatever that was.

I missed the next two games due to being in concussion protocol. ?

How much would you pay for simulated shifting option - software would cut the electric power every few seconds or at specific speed boundaries, so you'd get the same jolt forward that keeps you awake in an ICE car?
