I’m going to be unpopular and say my one word was “meh”.

Granted, I only have a 4S.

But there’s just no drama to it.

So, it takes off quick, okay, but then nothing changes. Just more quick acceleration. A couple seconds in and I feel like staring at my watch to see if it’s done yet. ⏱

“Oh, is it still accelerating? ? Wake me when it’s done.”

It’s just not the same as a redline and a shift. ?

Sorry.?‍♂
I do not really agree but I see where you are coming from: effortless power sometimes deceives the senses, much in the same way as the perceived speed in a Taycan is often lower than the actual speed. Maybe try to launch-control blindfolded next time for extra drama?

I sort of regret not trying launch control in my test drive, but since I have never used such a thing on UK roads I am not sure it makes any difference for me.
Mind you, when my Taycan is delivered I will be quite tempted to try a launch.
You will have plenty of opportunity when you get your track day at Silverstone ?

Hey Guys, i have a question. How would you write in 1 word , the sound of emotion that you made when you did your first launch control . Thanks
More interesting is how it’s glued to the road - and the incredible suspension…it handles similar to a 911 but rides like an S class Merc. It’s an old guts car but one hell of a piece of kit.

How much would you pay for simulated shifting option - software would cut the electric power every few seconds or at specific speed boundaries, so you'd get the same jolt forward that keeps you awake in an ICE car?
That alone? None.

But simulating a manual? A lot, and I wouldn’t even care how stupid I looked doing it.

“Mommy, why is that man shifting his electric car?”

“Honey, shhh; it’s not nice to stare.”

. . .

But only if it were my only option.
And fortunately, it’s not. ?
