I would love to buy it, but will only do so if the battery is fully replaced. If anyone has gone through that process and/or negotiation, I'd love to hear what arguments have worked best and which arguments haven't worked as well as timing the request. For example, should I push now w/ the dealer to ask for a full battery replacement, or is that a futile argument at this point? Just not sure if 6 out of 33 modules is enough to push right now for a full replacement. For a lease I wouldn’t care just let them do what’s fastest. If you plan to buy it push for a new battery as those other cells will fail. My shortest weight time for battery replacement was four months and my battery repair was five months long. Hopefullly it’s allot faster for you.
I guess it's not just 2020s. I just found out my 2022 GTS needs 12 modules replaced and was given 6 to 8 weeks for the repair. I don't drive it in the winter anyway but I'm hoping it'll be ready before the spring comes. It was delivered in 2023 due to part shortages and port shut down at the time, and has 8k miles on it so far. What about 2021 2022 2023 and 2024 cars...long wait. With all the risk associated.
All batteries are bound to fail but the incidence rate in 2020 is several times higher than that of 21 22 23 24I guess it's not just 2020s.
