Thanks for posting.

I had just read another post on an MY21 RWD where the topic was battery degradation. It was stated that their normal range had always been around 300 miles and now a little less but my point of mentioning was the relatively small increase you are seeing for MY25 - around 10%.

Suspect your range will increase further but do find it odd that some folk in NA can get similar range on older cars.

Kick down is a feature of MY20+ to exceed set max speed when in Range mode.
This is hardly a standardised test so I don’t think these are numbers that can be straight up compared like that. Obviously, since the new Taycan has an almost 16% larger usable battery (97 kWh vs 83.7 kWh) one should the very least be getting that.

In a more apple to apple comparison, going from a MY22 Turbo S CT to a MY25 Turbo S CT, same routes, same driving style, I’m easily getting 10-20% mere efficiency improvement. Overall, just comparing my last 2 hour trip with the same exact trip I did previously with my MY22, I got about 33% more range, which incidentally is actually pretty close to what Porsche advertised in their original presentation (34% range increase).

I'm seeing similar, 10-15% efficiency improvement, nearly choked on my coffee this morning when I checked and saw 3.0 miles/kWh nearing the end of a 40 mile regular journey (only had efficiency starting with a '3' once in 3 years and 54k miles in my previous taycan). In the end I only acheived a 2.9 but I managed to repeat the feat with a second 2.9 on the return journey home.

Combined with the bigger battery, the improved range is a solid 30-35% (and I've gone 4S to Turbo).

With the wider operating temperature window of the new battery (less battery pre-heating required), faster peak charging and a (much) better DC charging curve it all adds up to a big real world improvement for a high miler like me, I'm happy.

It’s fantastic, though honestly, it’s difficult to say whether or not it’s worth the price without having driven one with standard air suspension. I had PDCC on my ‘21 and, after test driving vehicles with and without, thought it was indispensable for a performance car of this weight. That was main reason I went with Active Ride, but hard to know if the difference is as large. Still, to have the car be perfectly flat while pulling nearly 1 lateral G around a bend is insane.

To answer the other question above about differences, it is (very) noticeably quicker. I’ve had numerous “holy shit” moments, despite three years and 30k miles in the last car, which as we all know, is not slow. I think it looks fantastic. For those concerned about the loss of the tear drops, I highly recommend considering the Sport Design Package. I think it works better and adds more character to this front end than it did to the first gen.
+1 Q about Active Ride. With the north east roads being how they are how did you feel the handling was on bumpy, poorly paved roads? How much do you feel the PAR corrects the constant uneven roads? I am on the fence pulling the trigger as i am unable to get a test drive of any vehicle with PAR.

Kyle/OutOfSpec noted on a recent video that the new 4S almost feels as fast as the old Turbo and that for most the new 4S will be fast enough.

Similar power output (and same 0 - 60) as J1 GTS which is the norm on model refresh cycles and is a more accurate comparison IMHO.

I have a '23 GTS with 16000 miles, 21" tires. The life-time efficiency is about 30 kWh/100 miles according to the vehicle display. Compare that to the numbers being published for the new Tesla 3 and the Polestar 2--both at about 20 kWh/100 miles. I love the GTS, but the range is very disappointing. Glad to see the new cars have increased range.

I feel that this claim that Regen mode generates less regenerated power to the traction battery than does not using Regen mode (just coasting) is a myth, not reality -- for gen-1 Taycans. My 2021 CT4 shows much more green on the regen side of the meter when in Regen mode than when not in Regen mode, consistently. Why would they call it "Regen" mode if it didn't provide more regen?
