I had the opportunity to attend a Porsche event today at Pocono Raceway where they had a 2025 Taycan Turbo S. This was my first time seeing one in person and I was there early, so I took the opportunity to pull my TTS up next to it to take some side-by-side pictures. To my surprise, I like the J1.2 better. My only real gripe is with the new Mission E wheels. They aren't terrible, I guess, but they don't have nearly the presence of the original Mission E's but that's easily fixed with aftermarket wheels.

I didn't have a chance to drive the TTS, only a base 2025 Taycan on an autocross course. Seeing the 2025 TTS in person convinced me to make the upgrade. Anyway, here's the side-by-side:

Great pictures for seeing the differences. I wonder what you specifically like about the J1.2 look.
I am interested in your impression of the rear fake vents and elements in Turbonite.

I actually like the front end better, which surprised me, specifically the new lights. The rear fake vents are kind of a non-factor: they don't add anything but don't detract either. Turbonite is nice but depends on your spec I think. I thought the window trim in Turbonite looked great, although it would depend on your wheel choice. It's this nice color that is kind of halfway between the satin silver and aurum (gold).

Yes the new bumper is growing on me! I am not sure about the more flat fender though..

Turbonite is a very personal preference and is not for me. It appears on other models too.

I had a gen 2 4S ST alongside my GTS ST and the differences were even less. It too had the Mission E wheels in b&w which just looked awful if not cartoon like.

For the 40 or so miles I drove the car I was impressed with the performance and the improvement in consumption.

We are talking heir (and there) about J1.2/Gen2 although it is JUST a facelift of J1, correctly J1.2.
J1.2 or Gen 2 (whatever code) is a 3-4 years distance.
We are upscaling it in our background thinking, maybe verifying our choice to upgrade.

I think will vary very much depending on the spec. It looks very good against the Oak Green. Would be much less so against other colors.

Agree 100% on the new Mission E in b&w: they look even worse in motion, like the car is on whitewalls.

Good point: it's a J1 vs a J1 II.

Interesting pictures. I don't think it's changed my mind in terms of which one looks better, the original design is just more different and pretty to my eyes. But the J1 II is certainly not an ugly car by a long way. I've never liked the black on white Mission E's anyway, so that affects my opinion little

That green color is perfect!

Looks pretty identical to me. Differences are as big as Sport Design package vs default bumpers on J1. We as enthusiast see the differences, others will not. Turbonite is not for me. Asking money for black/white - with a fancy name - logos is the biggest rip off I can think of.

I am worried turbonite wont work well with dark colors, it seems so muted in photos.

The back vents being fake are weird for such an expensive car but not horrible.

I agree the nose dents in pictures are strange, I am hoping with the turbo still connecting bumper and lights with a vent it will make it all seem more together.
