Further evidence that SoH seems to be less affected by DC charging than expected and it’s more time based. Seems almost like a lottery - some nurse their batteries, some use them hard and both end up with a similar SoH.

Wowzers 209,000 miles.

By my calcs that's about 17 sets of tyres. :CWL:

Good to see.... Makes you wonder how many high millage electric taycans are merrily chugging along and only those with faults come to the internet to moan - thus making it look like they all fail...

A lot of this is dealers fixing / changing stuff without telling.

My 2019/2020 has been preatty solid also, at 80k km; with only a battery module replaced according to my dealer.

But report from ct14 reports another occasion where they replaced battery modules without even writing it down in the car’s book or telling me.

I also had a heater replaced without knowing or being told.

So without the report from ct14, I would have been none the wiser and think I had a perfect car, since not even an error was shown for me to get those battery modules replaced - it was done as part of random service visits.

And now I had the software in the car fixed, to fix the navigation issue, again, without any details being given on how or what they did to the car - and nothing was even written in the porsche system after checking with ct14.

So I wouldn’t necessary trust a customer saying that he had nothing repaired, while the car is under warranty and dealers repair stuff without telling all the time.

I drove my Tesla Model S for 11 years (2013-2024). Had one battery pack replacement covered under warranty when the service center bent/broke a connector, a few door handle replacements, multiple sets of tires and wiper blades, and a computer upgrade that I paid for. From a maintenance and repair perspective, it was not significantly different from any previous ICE car. My Taycan, over 1 1/2 years, has been much the same: Recalls handled under warranty, door handles replaced, occasional firmware updates at the dealer.... Admittedly, I drive a below-average number of miles each year, but I staunchly support that EVs are a better alternative to ICE vehicles for most people (not all use cases, obviously).

As always, YMMV. :)

There stories of teslas with a million on the odo. Cool to see this Taycan is on its way. I hope mine (33k on the odo) will ever reach this. Hope I still own it them, and not bankrupt yet for all out of warranty repairs

Only DC charging imagine the costs, here in EU 0,80€ per kwh is not uncommon. You coupd buy a Dacia for that kind of money.

Nice to see how it has held up. It also aligns with the theory that the failing battery modules have a manufacturing defect rather than all modules are affected.

Well that's very dependent on the dealer. Mine has done 75kkm and there have not been done anything to the car that I was not notified about. I always as for a list of campaigns as well but it has always been same as they have told me (and what' s in the report on the VIN).

I've had the brake hoses done and a few updates (23 car that got the "new" heater before delivery)

Imagining the fuel cost if it was an ice.
For that kind of money you could buy the whole brand of Dacia!

PS In 2019 you got a 2-year free charge with the car.

Just cracked the 70kkm, putting around 30k on it per year. Will take a while to reach 300k, but still enjoying the Taycan as daily very much.
Driving my MT ICE every now and again is a great experience, but for daily use I am happy to have a Taycan all the time!

This shows how stupid an idea it was for Tesla to start making cars with electronic/receding door handles, and so many other companies (Porsche included, with the Taycan) following that bad idea like lemmings walking off a cliff together... Thankfully, Porsche went back to normal door handles with the Macan EV (and apparently also with the Cayenne EV). I figure it's just a matter of time before the door handles on my Taycan fail. In all my decades of owning many ICEVs with normal door handles, never once did any of their door handles fail over many hundreds of thousands of miles (one of my Volvos lasted 23 years). There's no real range savings via aerodynamics with "flush" door handles vs. normal ones, and the only possible benefit of having recessed door handles might be that they discourage theft or car-jackings.

‘To the Moon’ mileages like this, from Taycan and Teslas, set the Expected Service Life precedent against which HVB module warranty claims can be determined.
They’ll also help residuals and used demand.
The WBAC on my car has increased by £5k since May.
