So, my Taycan ST GTS will probably be here in around 6 weeks, which got me thinking, what do I need to investigate now to make me prepared for when it does arrive:
- programming of the individual mode/button
- layout of main dash screens
- settings for Burmester audio
- programming for remote charging
- usb-c stick for audio files
- anything else

Does this ‘beginner’s guide’ already exist?

What have I missed?!

Thanks

All of this will take 5 mins to explain at handover and I'm sure you've gleaned alot already from this forum.

If not already played with them, access the digital- copilot website simulator https://your-digital-co-pilot.com/en where most of these functions can be played with.

Add to your list the arrangement of my home screen which is a secondary screen to the main display which has the multiple tiles.

MY20 - MY23 all behave the same way.

Depending on options some additional features may appear on the PCM menus but generally the simulator has all options.

I pick up my GTS ST w/c 13/2 but have had the benefit of 26.5 months of education with my 4S.

I’ve been reviewing the simulator which has been helpful in learning how to do different things - although much of this will be personal preferences I’m hoping for people to explain how and why they’ve set up things as they have which might give me ideas for the same?

I found it to be easier than I expected, but I'm easily pleased by a simple setup.

Absolutely everything I actually needed was set up on handover.
There were a few defaults I changed, like the heater coming on every time you unlock the car - this used a lot of power when I was emptying my car at a holiday destination on our first trip given I was never in the car, it was below zero and I was going back and forth to the car carrying luggage.
I spotted it and changed it.

I haven't got my garage door linked to the homelink thing, but couldn't be bothered to waste any more time on it since I have known how to open a garage door for >50 years.
The big simplification for my setup is that I like classical music and no streaming service is much good for finding what I like so I didn't link Spotify or Apple music and couldn't be bothered with CarPlay either - these would have been dealt with on handover but I said I didn't need them.

In the end I have treated my Taycan like any other car and it is absolutely brilliant, I love everything about it except the width, and any help I needed was freely given here.

This really annoys me, where is the setting to stop this happening?

I found it in the manual in the My Porsche app though that was a couple of months ago and I can’t remember where!

Just had a look and it is the last thing in the climate section of the manual.
home>Climate>precool/h
here you can activate or de activate the 5 mins of heating when you unlock the car.

Sure - we’re all here to help.

There isn’t as much setup as you may imagine - default arrangements can work out just fine.
