I am transitioning from an 2013 Tesla Model S P85+.. I have built this spec out and reviewed and adjusted with my sales advisor. https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PSBJIZT6 Anyone care to take a look and give me some advice on what i might be missing out on or things i shouldn't bother with?
I have a 2021 Taycan with the panoramic glass roof. As much as I love the glass roof I ended up installing a black semi transparent screen which makes driving in the desert much more comfortable. If I were to do it again I would order the metal roof now that I hear the cost to replace the panoramic glass is roughly $10K if you crack it.
I love the mood lighting, the all around cameras & automatic lift function you can save for location where you want to avoid bumps, dips, etc. I also got the coffee beige color instead of the normal black on black and absolutely love it. My other black on black Porsche needed to be washed at least once a week because it shows the dust & fingerprints immediately. The coffee beige doesn’t show the dirt at all so we wash it maybe once every 4-6 weeks & sometimes even longer.
We get so many compliments on the color.
If you are the only driver then manual steering wheel adjustment is ok but if two people drive the car like my wife & I where I am 6-2” & she is 5-3” then I would get the automatic steering wheel adjustment option.
I would not get the automatic mirror fold option since I prefer the mirrors extended since I would rather someone bump the mirrors when opening their doors rather than denting the doors themselves.
I would make sure I got the largest battery.
Also, unless you are looking for a vehicle with the fastest 0-60 then the base Taycan is fast where it needs to be. Off the line it is extremely quick, quicker than 90% of cars on the road. On the highway the acceleration for passing is impressive as well. If you have money to burn then you can go with the 4S, Turbo or Turbo S.
But remember some insurance companies like The Hartford will not insure the Turbo or Turbo S.

AKA Alcantara, fake suede, found in a VW Golf.
And all GTS trims of Porsche, Golf inspired, haha.
Whatever @RainGuy prefers, I think race-tex makes the interior more sporty and premium.
I'd also add the leather wrapped doors sills, that plastic looks so damn cheap.

The electric (and hopefully automatic) adjustment is part of the 14 or 18 way seats (not sure if this is new).

Automatic folding mirrors are standard now but the functionality can be disabled in PCM.

I have seen some reports that the surround camera is quite bad as soon as you spec the remote park assist. Not sure if you can switch to the view you get with the standard surround camera.

There’s a Suede (AKA London Suede in the US) tribute band called Alcantara!

Completely with you on the extended leather, but more bothered about it not being on the dash etc. than the lower doors, visors etc. which are less visible.

It's exactly opposite: the rear-cam is a lot better with remote park assist.
the standard rear cam is a 1998 fish-eyed web-cam derivate and doesn't deserve to be at home in any Porsche.

The rear cam is even worse. But with surround cam only, you have a rim view which is very nice for exact parking.
That view seems to be not available with remote park assist.

Indeed, the rim view is nice! Not available with park-assist.
