The car gives you detailed instructions and you get to choose to install before hand once the car is locked…

This popped up this afternoon as I got to a supermarket. I decided to wait until I got home in case there was a problem and I got stranded.

I have now just had a look and there are no notifications and the update section tells me my system is up to date.

So how do I get back to it to install this update?

It'll reappear at a later date.
You have to do exactly what the update tells you.
I forgot to lock my car so the update wouldn't continue...
You'll be notified if the update succeeded.

But what if I want to do it at a time that is convenient for me? I would rather do it at home so that if there is a problem I am stuck at home and not somewhere else

So wait while the popup appears when you're at home.
How's your reception at home?
Is the car in a garage?

PS The update doesn't get you stranded, it'll install or it won't.

Reception isn’t great at home but I went and looked and it appeared now. So I did the install and it was successful. I doubt it will be a life changing update though!

It's an update for the onboard charger and I think it's also a test to see if OTA works.
Well, it does.

Not sure which update it was. The car then lost connection with the app but that was sorted by turning the car on and back off. Hopefully I will get fewer charging errors - don’t get many but get the odd one with the mobile charger
