It’s not speculation thoWell @chun, I know your Taycan bottle is almost empty, to me it's well filled and at least half full instead of half empty.
So I hold against your speculation with my own: by 2027/ 2028 Porsche will have a solution, not letting J1.1 standing in the rain without an umbrella.
If we are both here still by than, one owes the other a pack of Duracells.
I appreciate your concern for new Taycan owners. Speaking for myself, new owner - car not even in my possession yet, so future new owner - I am so glad I found this forum after I choose the car and made the down payment! Might have not bought her if I had read all the possible things that can go wrong beforehand. And that would have meant missing out on all the greatness and fun too!It’s not speculation tho
Multiple sources across all VW group and other brands of cars are puttin 1/5 cells produced by LG chem before Q3 2024 as being defective. That’s around 20%.

it’s also facts that PIWIS reports all of these manufacturing defects as aging defects. And it was not long forbidden elf magic that classified them like that, it was porsche, in an intentional decision.
As a new owner I would appricate to have this kind of information, over hopes and dreams
Same here. I went in knowing all the issues that could potentially happen, and once my lease ends I’ll continue with a second Taycan, and will try to convince my wife to get the Cayenne EV (doubtful lol). But I’m also positive and truly enjoy the vehicle and want to for many more years to come.fact is, nobody can predict the future. Maybe solutions are around the corner, maybe not. Maybe some cars are lemons, others are peaches. I like to stay on the positive and hopefull side!

I have a Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo. It was one of the first, registered March 2022, and I’ve done 84,000 miles in 10 countries.
in December I asked my dealer to perform an official Porsche SOH assessment on the HV Battery. It scored 91%.
Using a battery degradation curve, rather than straight line, my battery is likely to get to 300,000 miles at 70% SoH.
My current 91% or close looks like this: I drove 203 miles today in range mode. I have 9 miles range left. The journey was a mix of motorway (90%) and country roads. I used Porsche’s adaptive cruise control nearly all the time. The temp was 10-13°C, I started at 100% charge and I’m still on 20” winters. I drove gently.
Generally, my battery mgt looks like this: 95% of charging on a 7kWh home charger to 85% capacity. I use high speed chargers on longer journeys but I tend to use the PCM so normal charges are top ups for a few minutes.
I thought this real life info and experience might be useful and/or interesting.
