black "keys"?

Does anyone know who the two black items are , they look like key's but the are no keys? I found them in plastic vacuum packaging.

Presume they are for Porsche VTS tracking?

if they are , shouldn't they be hidden somewhere in the car?I thought that the tracking was build in like in my 911.

They are the fobs for the tracking. Not the tracking system itself.

Do you mean these?

If you get these it means that you have ordered the PVTS plus. To figure out how these works I've attached a Printscreen from the good to know app.

If you have activated PVTS+ then they need to not be in the car and not to be kept on a keyring with your keys. You need one of them them with you on all journeys, but not in the car if you are not using it.

Once activated never leave one in the car when not using the car (it will disable remote monitoring of alarms) and always have one with you when using the car (the car will object otherwise and trigger a silent alarm).

Go for a spin in your car for 10 minutes without the fobs. If you don't get a call from vodafone (monitoring company), then you may not have the service i guess. Or call them maybe - 03332220799 and ask if your reg is active.

They're only active if you have a valid subscription.

If the car is powered on and you exit leaving the car powered on with your driver card (PVTS tracker fob) and the car doesn't complain (warning on the dash) then the card is not active / associated with the car.

Depending on the age of the car (up to MY23 from memory), you need to have your fobs paired with your car / PCM and can only be performed by the dealer.

Don't lose the fobs as the dealer will expect them back when you sell the car on.
