Hi all, this is my first post.
I purchased an approved used Taycan 4S last February and really love the car but I have had niggles and frustrations that when it comes to get sorted I start to wonder if the warranty is worth it?
One of the latest issues is that the drivers side port I use the most for home charging stopped working when swiping the sensor. I checked the passenger side and it is the same. I can get the drivers to open if I press the button on the centre console. As I type this I realise I have not tried the passengers via the console.
The car is currently at Porsche dealer having this issue looked at along with other issues. Their diagnosis has been that the ports are not aligned correctly and need realignment and calibration. Not covered under warranty and will be £444. Does this sound right? As it just suddenly stopped working it surely points to electrical or sensor issue??
As a side note (potentially related), the day I picked up the car the passenger port suddenly stopped working and they ended up having to swap the whole door mechanism over from a demo car while we waited. It is the only time the doors have been worked on in my ownership that I am aware.
