I just picked up my Taycan CT4 yesterday from the dealership. When I went to open the right side charge port it was locked and would not open but on the dashboard the car said it was open. This morning both charge ports are locked and the same message popped up saying that the right charge port is open... These are the manual not electric covers. I've never had an issue with either of them and it's odd that this happened the day I picked it up from the dealership.
Of course the car is 1,200 miles out of warranty... UGH

What was done at the dealership to your car? One of the rules of troubleshooting is to go back to the most recent work to the car. Good Luck.

Yes it was for in for a state inspection sticker and to replace a clip on the drivers side sun visor..... I've only had work done at the dealership I purchased it from....

Both ports are electronically linked, so I suspect it's likely a single fault (a sensor or whatnot) that causes both ports no not open. Not necessarily an insane coincidence.

There's an emergency cord in the door frame, near the top door hinges. Behind a plastic or rubber plug. It unlocks a charge cable in case one is in there that the car refuses to unlock it. I'm not 100% sure it also unlocks the flap itself, but I would assume so.

Whether you can then actually charge is another question.

I remember that if you do pull that cord, it needs to be replaced at dealer. So I wouldn't.

I think there are some "procedures" or tricks for resetting the doors. Try to google, i'm sure i've seen similar posts.

Ah that was it... I remembered there was something special with it, but I forgot what. Then again, I just put it back and then had to use it again the next day. The cord seemed to be fine. And I've never heard about them replacing it, but maybe they did when they replaced the charger.

Only for real emergencies then, I guess...

A state inspection sicker and a new clip installed for the drivers side sun visor thats what makes it so odd??

Likely unrelated. The doors have sensors to check if open/closed; since having both open at once is not allowed since the car doesn't support simultaneous charge through 2 ports

Did you try the 2 finger reset? or 12v unplug? Maybe the sensors is just glitched

Nope, it'll retract and can be used again.
With the cord you unlock the cable, nothing more.
I've used it myself.
If it doesn't retract itself there's something wrong with the guidance inside and only then you need to visit the dealer.
