Buying CT4 Sight Unseen

How many of you bought your CT4 without ever physically seeing one? I saw a couple of sedans but could never find a CT4 because they were snatched up so quickly when available. Never even test drove a sedan. I found my CT4 in New York and dealership sent pictures. Had it trucked to Southern California after purchase. I saw a lot of YouTube reviews and that was enough for me.

We were lucky enough to find one at a dealer about an hour away when the wife was deciding on purchasing. We went to see it and that sealed the deal. For test drives we only drove the sedan. The CT and sedan drive the same, blind spots are a bit different, but otherwise they are the same car.

I test drove a Sedan last summer and saw a CT4 in person (without driving it) before ordering the CT4S. The CT4 is wide and relatively long (given that it is not spacious inside). Doubt that you will be disappointed but know that the exterior dims are large given that it’s fairly cozy inside. If it makes you feel better, very few US buyers could drive CT…as there were not many of them on dealer lots before the ordering frenzy began.

Fingers crossed. I’m debating to keep my LX570 initially, just in case the Taycan ends up being a handful (I’ve been spoiled by Lexus with many 100k miles of only oil changes)…

Coming from a LX570 to the CT4 your biggest adjustment is going to be how low it sits. I had several SUV's before my CT4 and it took about a month for me to adjust. What I really like is the hood slopes down so the view of the road in front of you is really good. You just don't get to see ahead of you as well sitting high in your LX570.

I bought my last two cars without seeing or driving them. I suspect that will be a common practice for a lot of new car buyers for at least the next year.

The only thing that changed for me after test driving the RWD is that I wanted the full leather option (before the test drive, I had spec'd the standard interior)..

Saw one white CT from about 10 feet away, but never drove a CT or sedan. I did order Mamba Green Metallic sight unseen though, after seeing it on YouTube. Hope I like it as I was originally going to order Gentian Blue....

My biggest surprise when my car arrived was how low it sat. I love it but somehow all the videos made it look so much taller than the sedan so it was a very pleasant surprise. My wife loving the mamba green paint and stitching was also a big win.

Seems like the Mamba Green Metallic is a popular color. I was surprised at the number of people on the forum that purchased with that color. They all seem happy with it.

I was trying to buy Taycan RWD but the dealer only has CT4. I tried the ct4 and thought it will be my car.
If you are in NY area, I am not sure, but a month ago in Porsche near short hill (NJ) has a ct4 to try.

I agree about sitting low. I came from driving SUV's and sitting up high. The big change is getting in and out especially at my advanced age. It took about a month to get used to it but its all good now. What I really like is how the hood slopes down so you get a great view of the road in front of you.
