I see. Because European Teslas feature a CCS port? So I can rock up at any Tesla charger, wave my magic Porsche Charging Card and away I go`?

I dont' know about porsche charging service and euro-Supercharters - but "most" Tesla Superchargers will host non-Tesla EV's…

someone from Europe will have to answer the Porsche charging service question…

while there are no adapters required - there are a minority of Tesla supercharger sites that are Tesla only - but for the most part they allow non-Tesla's (some in the UK for example do not, there may be others in other countries)…

Yeah there are so many CPOs in Europe, the consumer choice is typically based on cost for energy. Europe also tiers cost based on speed, which makes sense.

One thing I can’t believe nobody has mentioned on this thread; cable length!
In my very limited experience (used Tesla charger 1 time to check, Germany) the cable was way too short, I had to take up 2 parking spaces and park like an *sshole to be able to use it. Since it’s too short you have to turn the car 90* (pic attached).
Luckily it was only a test, disconnected after 5 min…

Maybe the cable length is different in the US? Wasn’t the only one struggling at this station…

That is an old v.2 Tesla superchatger. The new v.4 SuC are designed with a longer cable and most have it centred on the parking place.

Also, the one you showed has bump stops. These were removed on most stations that were opened to other cars; with no bump stops you can drive forward into the space and the cable should reach. There is an additional problem for uk vehicles because the port is on the other side so we have to block the adjoining space, if there isn’t room to fit along the end of the block.

Stick to v.4

I got a message from my local dealer "MY26 vehicles will come with the adapter until they ship with NACS, which will most likely be mid MY 26 vehicles".

Curious if anyone else has heard this.

I've asked if the adapter will work with older model years.

All J3400 > CCS1 adapters are universally compatible.
(With the sole exception of how some EV model charging ports have physical constraints that require adapters with certain housing parameters.)
