A powerful RWD vehicle when driven at full throttle acceleration will do that. There is no wheelspin because of the electronic nannies. However the tires wear much quicker. I recommend strongly to always mount the same make and model (not size, in this case) front and rear. The different characteristics of different brands on the car can lead to unpleasant surprises or worse yet, accidents. So either you find a set of rears identical to the ones mounted now or buy a full four tire set. I would even go further and buy 6 (2 fronts and 4 rears) to have a guaranteed new set to use when you run thru your 1st next set of rears. I don’t think you have an alignment problem.

Further advice, on my Taycan Turbo S, as well as my last 2 AMG E63S 4Matic+ vehicles, the wear was almost even front to rear. This due to the front having more wear while cornering and pulling and the rear more under acceleration … On my Taycan, the rears lasted about 16,000 kms while my fronts would probably do 17,500 kms. It is easier to just change them all every 16,000 kms. PZero NFO in my case as Michelin does not have them homologated for 21”. Too bad rear punctures have thrown my method into disarray :headbang:

Update: both rear tires being replaced, fronts do not need replacement at this time.

I would have done all four if I could get PS4S but...sad face!

Sucks. That's one of the reasons I got the 20" turbo aero wheels.

Granted no Michelin is available yet for 21" wheels – but just to note its only the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 (not 4S) that is NF0 certified for use on Taycan.

FWIW I drive my Turbo pretty hard and have 17K miles on the Continental 21" tires w/ no abnormal wear issues.

Jeez that’s some wear ?

Thankfully given tyres are included in my lease costs, for once I can pedal to the carpet and enjoy ?

Michelin are superb, hope mine comes with them ?

FWIW my Macan Turbo with air suspension used to eat through rear tires like that every 9K miles. Porsche advised it was due to heavy toque vectoring intervention due to my driving style.

All the MBZ that have air suspension are setup with a lot of negative camber in the back which leads to the inside of the tires wearing out quickly,
Looks like the same issue with the Porsche air suspension.

So (it would seem like) the tires on a RWD EV take it from both directions…acceleration and regenerative braking. I don’t know how much the front motor participates in regen on the Taycan, but maybe that’s a factor? Just a hunch, I have no data (empirical or otherwise) to back that theory.
