I didn't see anything in the ToS discouraging this sort of post, but if it is deemed inappropriate, I apologize in advance. I have not received any sort of compensation for writing this, and it is completely unsolicited.
I just wanted to show some love for the experience I recently had with Porsche Redwood City's service department. My Taycan went on a bit of a "hunger strike" where it would refuse to charge for more than 45 seconds or so. I emailed my SA with the results of my amateur troubleshooting, along with excerpts from the CarScanner/OBDII diagnostics involving the charging system. This was passed onto service, who initially said that the earliest they could get me a loaner vehicle was two weeks out.
After I explained that the only other transportation we have needed to be in the detailing shop all this week, they said that if I could bring it in Monday morning, they would try to work something out. I did, and they managed to scrounge up a Macan for me to have while they were working on the Taycan.
Within hours of my dropping the vehicle off, they had (a) confirmed my diagnosis, (b) did not quibble in the slightest about needing time to reproduce it, (c) ordered a new high-voltage charger module, (d) reached out via text message to explain all of this to me, and (e) estimated that they hoped to be able to have the Taycan available for pickup today.
Yesterday, I got a text saying I could pick it up after 1500 that afternoon. The charger was replaced, along with the coolant (which apparently needs to be drained in order to reach the charger). They also performed the WPS9 thermal management unit reprogramming, and cleaned both the interior and exterior at no cost.
This experience completely validated my decision to purchase from Porsche Redwood City, and I would encourage anybody in the area to at least consider them if you are in the market.
