Posting to add to the tally of electrical system errors.

Last night, PCM would only show "Porsche" and not load. Left the car overnight. This morning, PCM was back to normal operations, however, while driving to work got the Electrical system error notification. Turned off engine after arriving at work, restarted and the alert was not present. Had to rush into work, so will see if I can drive it home tonight. Regardless, have made appointment to get the vehicle checked but first available with loaner is not until end of April. Let's hope the car doesn't brick between now and then... Seems in reviewing prior posts, the issue can range from software, needing new high volt cable, or a whole new main battery.

My car has not had the error. I asked the Taycan tech at dealer - who has both Taycan and battery specialist certifications - about it since it keeps being reported in the forum. He said the "electrical system error -park vehicle" message is a general error, and can be generated by all sorts of situations. He said It does not necessarily mean battery or other parts are defective.

I think in general if the car allows you to drive with full power now, it's probably not the battery. However, it could be your onboard HV charger acting up. It seems to be a pattern for many (myself included) to see this error , then a month or so later have the HV charger go, and then a month later the HV heater.

You can try a battery disconnect to reset the electronics.

Unfortunately, i am kinda in the aame boat but my car is bricked. after owning the car for approximately 3.5 months my car got the red electrical system error. They found out that the 12v and the high voltage battery was bad. Couple cells on the high voltage battery has gone bad and the 12v had fully drained. They have decided to make a claim w porsche and wait for a specialist to reinspect the vehicle. So far it's been in service for approx 3 weeks now. Unknown when the vehicle would be fixed. Did anyone by any chance file a lemon claim before in CA(to my understanding if they need to service the vehicle for over one month it would meet the criteria to file a lemon claim)? I might have to cross over and get a 911 gt3 or 992 991, sadly...

At which point did you get this investigated? after the HV charger or the HV heater issue? and was everything fixed without further issues?

Well, I didn’t bother going to dealer for the red error. It popped exactly once, first thing in the morning. I turned the car off waited 20min and its been fine since(that was in July).
The hv charger gave out in Oct (I’ve the 22kw one) got replaced oct27 about 3week wait. No issues since.
The hv heater gave out Dec 15. Got replaced Feb 9 after complaining to PCNA and GermanyHQ. No issues since

The dealer handled each issue individually and they never officially connected the 3 events, but look around the forum and you’ll see similar pattern for many.

Sorry to hear that... my 2021 RWD was towed away a few days ago after breaking down on the freeway, now waiting for a diagnosis. It started with repeated electronic error warnings like yours about a month ago, but those only led to the steering wheel and seat heating functions being disabled, and went away after restarting. Later on I got the yellow turtle sign appearing, and lost power for a brief time - called Porsche and was told to keep driving as long as it would go... the next day the turtle showed up again, followed by an almost total power loss during dense morning traffic. Luckily I was able to crawl towards an exit. Strangely enough, no red error/alert signs from the car.

Red electrical warning came up 3 weeks after purchase in january and nothing until this morning .
Both times turned power on/off immediately and away it went.
Driving perfect . there was 4ooo kms between each failure.
Bit annoying with car that has only 6200 km on it.

I had this yesterday!. My wife elected to stay in the car while I went into the doctor's office for a bit. As I walked away I locked the car with my remote - to make sure she was safe. When I came back, this was on my dash. Wow! It wouldn't start/operate (yes the radio worked) so I initiated a tow through 1-800-Porsche and called my dealer. As I was talking with him, I tried it again and all was ok! So I cancelled the tow. As we talked we thought that perhaps the car thought someone was in the car after it was locked and therefore killed itself (!). After a bit, it re-booted itself was the surmise. Worked fine this morning on a hour-long trip. I don't plan on bringing it in unless there's a repeat. I do have to commend the 1-800 folks for immediate assistance to set up the tow however.

You’ll be relieved to know that my trip to Porsche found no errors and the car has been error free since. Hoping the same for you!
