Can you check in your car history book thingy, or whatever, where they must note what they did to your car, what exactly TIs/Campaigns they applied? Should be a code like: ARA4, WPN9, WMH0, etc.

Curious to see what they did.

I really think the issue is somehow related to this WMH0 campaign - wired that it is only for 2020-2021 cars though:
The TSB also states:
Porsche Taycan EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues 1759495397845-n

Normally means that dealers should apply the TSB steps only to vehicles designated by Porsche. If so, dealer should know which VINs.

I have disabled Charging Services in the nav app to prevent it from freezing. But today, at exactly the same spot as before, something strange happened with the navigation. The screen flashed, as if an update was being installed, and all details were gone (HPC chargers, place names, highway numbers, etc.). Within a few kilometers, they came back. Now I suspect two things:

  • There is an issue with the navigation itself; with Charging Services enabled, the navigation truly freezes. With it disabled, it doesn’t freeze, but something still happens in the background.
  • Since it happens at exactly the same spot, I expect it might be related to Google Maps tiles. Google divides the world into imaginary square tiles. Each tile contains an image (satellite overlay and data), and Google can update individual tiles so that when a map update occurs, only a few tiles are refreshed instead of reloading the entire world. Porsche also pays per tile, which is why there are costs associated with Connect Services. The transition from tile to tile could be causing the issue.
Previously, moving from one tile to the next would freeze my navigation for about 3 km. Now, I just see a flash, some icons disappear, and they reappear within 3 km. What are your thoughts on this?

@chun the campaign is for 2020 and 2021, IfI look at the German site, mostly 2023 vehicles seems to have this problem, with only a few exceptions (including you). If the campaign was related I am not expecting only 2020 and 2021 ones to be listed in the TSB, must be another problem,

Is turning charging services the same as turning off charging planner to fix ?

Has anyone received version 3885 via OTA (WPN9) or only manual at the dealer?
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2025/MC-11023002-0001.pdf

Here the response from Porsche Smart Mobility, but as already known 3885 does not solve the navigation problem. So i will wait until the problem is finally solved. My car is a 2022 Turbo.

And my belief is that the campaign should cover more years. Not only 2020-2021 have ECUs running out of date software.

On the german forum people are also reporting just like me, issues with pre-conditioning using a lot more energy than normal, and doing pre-conditioning even if the battery is already at 35 Celsius.
But this is also related to this issue, as this started happening to me at the same time as the maps freezing.

From what I could notice, when navigating to a charger and the map resets, the pre-conditioning remains on indefinitely, even after charging, until you do a "reset of the car" - shut off, 150m distance from the car for 5minutes or so, and turn on.

During 2000km trip to Italy in the last weeks, my consumption has been horrible because of this - 40 to 50% higher than exactly same trip, same time, same weather, same driver, same roads last year.

I have had exactly the same experience. Only the above reset or alternatively 12 volt battery disconnect has solved my roblem.

No idea which update or sw has caused all of these issues though.

So nobody managed to get any official response on this?

I am taking my car to the dealer on Monday to have this checked out - software updates, which they say will fix it.
Likely it won't be the case.

Online I see a "new" campaign, WMH0, which applies to all 2020 and 2021 taycans, requiring all ECUs to be updated. This is a 2021 campaign, which was updated to apply again in 2025, since September.
Maybe this could help? It does include Instrument Cluster ECU update also.
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2025/MC-11023001-0001.pdf

It has multiple updates to do, in an order, depending on current version you have on. Seems quite comprehensive, and takes many hours. So I suspect dealers/services avoid this campaign like the plague.

There is also WPN9, to update all 2020-2024 cars to 3885, however it does not include any ECU updates.

I suspect these 2 campaigns are to be done together, likely for all 2020-2024 cars; instead of just 2020-2021 ones. And even then, my dealer hasn't actually done either of these - so hopefully this new dealer will do them both.
Wow that is quite some hours that they will need in the workshop. That is if everything goes smoothly.

Do we know if anyone has got this update as yet

Dealers seem to avoid these campaigns like the plague.
It's hours of software updates, and they don't want to do it.

Yes I briefly added the number of TU’s. Seems around 1100. That will tie up the PIWIS system for 2 days nearly.

I also checked my system info, and most seem to be from 2023. Still on 3882. So much for the promise of always having an uptodate sw in the car!

I had sent the service guy at my service center an email this week on monday morning and called on thursday late afternoon after not receiving an answer (email was overlooked). It was about the Satnav problems and some other things that are still open like the compensation for my charger downgrade, as well as some easy price inquiries that are unanswered for 7 weeks, water behind the rear seats, missing plug&charge option after downgrading the charger. Even some minor complain about me reminding about the compensation which is open for 5 weeks where we agreed that I would get back to this after 4 weeks (reason for not progressing is a Processing problem with the assurance). I got a regular service appointment in 3 weeks, thats it. I was so stunned, I really do not understand how this might convince me to buy another car in the future.

I fell for the same lies with Porsche.

“We keep the cars on the road”.

I’ve had better service on budget cars.

Porsche’s service is horrible, especially on electric cars, and on software the service and support is simply non-existent.

The fact of the matter is that these cars without the paid warranty are a piece of junk. Had I not had the warranty; I would have had to spend 50k+ on repairs, and hell, a lot of shit is still not working as supposed.

It’s incredible to me that they managed to brake the maps, like it’s something that hasn’t been figured out 2 decades ago

I just boldly requested a refund for the FoD's Innodrive and PIRM, as well as for one year of Porsche Connect. The issues have been ongoing since July, and I don’t get the feeling that dealers are putting much pressure on Germany. Hopefully this will create some pressure if more Taycan owners start asking for their money back.
