Picked my car today from a new service, was told "everything" was updated. Typical swiss fashion, more precise info not accessible - nothing filled in the warranty book. Still, more pleased than old service were I was being told things were done without them being done 😅

The issue is fixed for me - tested in a 40km drive, hopefully it lasts. As I was already on 3885, I can only assume they applied WMH0 AND/OR re-installed 3885 (WPN9) - as they needed a full day for the updates, would kind of align with the 3h+ of software updates required for both.

Didn't notice any other changes and/or improvements.

Will come back end of the week after I put a few hundred km on the car to confirm if it lasted.

I bet 5$ it is good for 2 days, and then you are back to yesterday's situation.

Couple hundreds km later, it continues to work. Fingers crossed it stays like that.

Other things I have noticed: cameras are more clear, all of them - I am aware that there was an update to the assistance ECU that did improve the post-processing of the video, so I suspect I got it.

The route planning is much faster. I was almost shocked today when it generated the route almost instantly, as soon as I selected the destination. That definitely never happened before - to be noted, not always instant, but definitely faster.

So it definitely looks like I got some ECUs updated, as these are not 3885 improvements, as I was already on 3885.

Will come back at 1000km to confirm again if the fix sticked. Will also try playing more with the PCM, see if I notice anything else.

@chun I don't understand why you cannot have the dealer write down exactly what they did to your car. They will be paid by Porsche, there is a list of specific work they did. They don't owe you the price they are charging Porsche, but they do owe you the details of the work that was done.

I don’t understand either 🤣 because I have asked. Sadly, that’s the experience I got from Porsche since the beginning of time - and this is a new dealer/service.

Only thing is they are ashamed of something and are asked by HQ to keep it secret? I'll call my dealer to see if they have any news on this. Since it seems to be fixed for you

I still don't believe it is fixed, unless they fixed server side issues @chun Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you, but some ECU updates can't be the fix since it started in July around the BMS OTA.

Just to clarify, I have never gotten any info on any work on the car - when there are recalls, they fill it in the warranty book - but for normal TSB/TIs not involved in a recall, they don't fill it. Specific details on the work done were never provided

So it's not something specific to this issue.

It's just modus operandi here in CH by the looks of it

Well you at least get a stamp in your service book. I have never got anything in my service book or otherwise. I did ask for printouts of recall nd repair works a couple of times. In the beginning I received them after a week or so, but lately ””The system seems to be broken, we will send you when we can””.

When I got the information from CT14 there was much more done than they ever told me!

Does not seem they are keen on sharing info at all here at my dealer??

Same experience really, there is nothing about my heater being replaced, but it was in the report from @ct14garage .

So yea, I guess it's a common issue in this part of europe, not a lot of transparency on the work done to the car. I would suspect it's their way of keeping under wraps all the issues, so owners don't grow worried - I would have never suspected my heater had issues.

I’ve noticed mine starts failing at a particular location - a route I do regularly. Today I took a different route to avoid the point where it usually starts going wrong and the nav was faultless.
