EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues

I think it was navigation update. I was on the road so didnt pay detailed attention though
can i see anywhere version or updatecode? I couldnt find it

If the update came while driving my guess is Map update. You only can install app updates while you leave your car, you have to accept the update before leaving. Not sure though, hope you are right !

Hi @pioneer_nl , did you raise the navigation issue previously with Porsche Rotterdam and they automatically invite you for the fix? or you need to call them and informing about WTG1 recall?

I was in their list. But after seeing the messages , i reached out to them

WTG1 is being done while I wait here with laptop working from the Porsche Centre being supplied with coffee and snacks. Always reminds me why there’s a cost of entry into this brand. The number of staff flitting around is amazing.

WTG1 done @Jasper4S, 4 hours rather than the 3 as a failed update at the end had to be repeated. No nav restarts on the 30 mins drive home (had 3 on the way there). See the photos for software versions and the only visual difference I’ve seen so far, charger power on the map and a filter for what power chargers you see.

Assuming you’re still close to your car, can you try to make a longer route, say to south Italy? How long does it take for it to get calculated?

On j1.2 route planner, a lot of the workload is offloaded to sever side, instead of being done locally ( Same as with the app) like it was done on j1.1.

We seem to be getting the j1.2 navigation, fully. Wonder if it included the offloading to server side for route planning.

Another interesting test is if the route sent from the app still gets recalculated once it makes it to the car.

I will @chun (test route load for the north of England was pretty quick)

Route to Palermo took around a minute would take longer calculating alternative routes. Route sent from app does show as “calculating route” momentarily but touching start route gets it loaded.

Obviously not extensive test, but happy with how it’s behaving so far.

Today I got on all my runs (3 in total) after a while a notification in screen about a new message. I didn’t pay attention to it since I was driving.
But when I got home there are no messages in the PCM, nor are there updates. I’m lost… is it possible something installed itself en route and therefor I cannot find it anymore?

Those sound like map updates. It’s a one-time notification and loads in new roads and new images for satellite view.

To see current version, go to "instellingen" scroll down to "systeem" and click "software-informatie" and then "versie-informatie"

Hello everyone, today I called Porsche Padova (Italy) to ask about the availability of the update in question. I have an appointment next week. They told me that while I wait for the new, single software, for all models, it would be best to install this update for now.
