Dealer won’t budge from $25k off the new 2023, an ordered 4S at MSRP of same equipment will cost much more than the 2023 GTS at MSRP.

25k is almost 20% off, yes?
You absolutely won't get that for the refresh, when it comes in 4-6 months, and it'll cost more. I'd say you're looking at a 30-40k swing between otherwise comparable cars. Your call..

It is about 15% off a new 2023 GTS. Seems like the 2025 4S is about the same as the GTS? I did the configuration and it’s about 148k to 170k swing, 22k. Torn lol

🤷‍♂️ Indeed the new 4S is a bang-on match for the outgoing GTS power-wise (509/590hp with the larger battery). The GTS is more "custom" than a 4S, if you care for that sort of thing, and there's also the aspect of instant gratification.

What I'd do:
- if you have a price point at which you'd take the '23, then shop around and see if any similar cars are close to matching that (and bring them to your dealer)
- put a (refundable) deposit on an MY25, and let the dealer sit/stew on the GTS; if it sells, then problem solved. If it doesn't sell, the price will drop, and you can always say "I'll take it off your hands for <your price point>"

Porsche tune the GTS differently to the rest of the Taycan range. Stiffer anti-roll bars, spring rates, suspension setup (when in Sport / Sport Plus). All the tweaks and adjustments make the car feel sportier compared to other trims.
Surprised you had to point this out to Propo on a Porsche forum, but I get that it needed correcting.

Well known that GTS always get the secret sauce. Unique components and settings that prevent trying to option other models exactly the same. Otherwise there would be no reason to get GTS.

(And they are produced in lower numbers, later than the rest of the line, making them highly sought after.)

Fourth Porsche. Nothing new here.

If you like Race Tex get the GTS. Buy it because its a GTS.
If you want to de GTS it with leather wait for a new 4S and leather it up
You cant get Race Tex on a 4S

There’s a silver 23 GTS in Dallas and I’m pretty sure they’ll do more than $25,000 off. I was looking at it and they may have sent me a quote, I’d have to look. There’s a 24 in Houston also. I just got $28,500 off a 24 but it’s not a GTS but I’d bet you’d get more or equal off a GTS.

I ended up with a 2024 PTS Voodoo Blue GTS, incredible car.
