same as above.Next track on the steering wheel, sport sound for the one on the main dashboard.
It saves to whatever you set it to in the J1.2. If you don't change it often, you probably won't miss it.J1.1 so have regen button - which I love and use all the time (would really miss it in j1.2)
I use 2 clicks to the garage door opener too so it’s not too out of the ordinaryNow that I know other people have a surround camera button in the center I can see why it would be confusing I’d use up a custom button. Mine is parking assist (which when opened has a button to turn on the camera, but that’s 2 clicks).
I have The remote park assist too. But figured out now that hitting the button on the consolescreen pops up a menu on the center screen where you can activate the cams as well. Too much work anyway so the quick link is very handy indeed!J1.1 so have regen button - which I love and use all the time (would really miss it in j1.2)
Wheel button - sport sound (pedestrians etc)
Dash button - parking surround
I have the Remote Park Assist so have lost the button on the centre dash to activate the surround view - which is annoying - as it gets replaced with the remote park assist button.
Fyi, to free up that diamond button, you can use the comfort memory button if you can spare one for HUD. HUD state (ON/OFF) gets saved together with your seat/mirrors/steering wheel positions, so you just need to save the same positions on 2 comfort memory buttons, one with HUD ON, one with HUD OFF.HUD on the dash.
it can be hard to press the button on the screen. the joker button is 100% success rate. i have our set that way too.Homelink is location aware and stores GPS coordinates such that when set the option to open / close the garage door pops up automatically on the PCM - frees up the Joker button for something else.
I think this is the 3rd I’ve seen of this combo (I was one of them…). Guessing you are a J1.2 with “active parking support”?Dash = Surround View Cameras
Steering Wheel = Next track
Oooh. Cracking tip. TaFyi, to free up that diamond button, you can use the comfort memory button if you can spare one for HUD. HUD state (ON/OFF) gets saved together with your seat/mirrors/steering wheel positions, so you just need to save the same positions on 2 comfort memory buttons, one with HUD ON, one with HUD OFF.
Now I think I understand why some Taycans have the direct surround-view button on the lower-left section of the center console. Mine includes Surround View as part of the Premium package, but it does not include Remote Park Assist.... I have the Remote Park Assist so have lost the button on the centre dash to activate the surround view - which is annoying - as it gets replaced with the remote park assist button.
