How many charge to 100%

Just curious on how many of you charge to 100% and how many to 85% on the daily?

I charge to 80% as that is what Porsche recommend for day-to-day use, not 85%.

They mention 85% somewhere else. It does seem a little "loose" between the two values – which probably means it doesn't make much difference!

it was 85%, for 2021 it was reduced to 80%

On my app it shows a little mark at 85%, assume that's where they want me to charge at for daily use

Its safe to charge to 100% if you use the car straight away. It's the amount of time that the battery sits at 100% that causes degredation.

I don't have my car yet but I charge our e-Tron to 80% for daily use (as per Audi's recommendation) and intend to charge the Taycan to the same level.

Always to 100% but NEVER daily! Why would anybody do that, unless you drive 300 miles every day?

I charge like twice a month.

I charge to 80% daily, along with our E-tron, and same for the other EV's I've owned.

My Taycan basically stays between 60-80% outside of road trips. I rarely drive it more than 30 miles in a day, and then it's charged right back to 80% by morning.

you don't mind if I charge at 30% "on a daily basis" ? at 11KW

100% only before a long trip at 7KW (scheduled)
85% on superchargers (or until it slows down)

3 factors %soc duration and speed of charge as you all know
(but what is the most important ? high soc duration? speed of charge ? or rough soc ?) any idea?

%soc 30% is better than 50% better than 85 (daily basis, urban)
when charging for 100%, better use 7KW or less ?
scheduling the charge to 100% is practical within the charge software. it won't last at 100% but a minute

all this efforts all the week... and a periodic wash
then supercharge it 2 times à 85% on 150KW ionity in a hurry on the week end trip
waiting for the 375KW from 0 to 85% !



it seems I use the taycan only for trips on dust/snow/mud with kids and food and vomited hot chocolate

I charge to 85% but only when I reach a charge level of 40% or less, unless I know I may need more the next day. If going on a trip I set a timer to reach 100% at the time of departure.
