No way.

The Taycan was designed ground up as an electric car. It would require a complete redesign costing huge sums of money.

With parent company VW planning to shut down three whole factories in Germany, it would be monumental folly to waste money on an ICE Taycan

Porsche have already stated the Taycan and Panamera will both continue, the Panamera as a luxury car and Taycan the sportier car. Whether the Panny continues for longer as an ICE is anyone’s guess. The Taycan will continue as an electric.

I've been seeing all these rumor mills putting this out. From my understand, doing marketing for Porsche, this just means they are now inclined to having an EV Macan aside an ICE Macan - and same for the Cayenne. The shape of the Taycan doesn't lend itself well to an engine, despite the images on these articles lol

This is 100% going to be a V8 diesel generator that fits onto the Taycan bike rack and recharges it as it moves. It will also have special Porsche approved premium AdBlue taken from the pee of Austrian alpine cows.

Has Porsche announced any plans to design new ICE Macan and/or Cayenne? The old ones use an old architecture no longer legal to sell in the EU, so new ones would be a complete redesign.

For an extra 50K, you can have the jet fuel version with PVJE (Porsche Vectored Jet Exhausts) complete with afterburners. You must buy a Macan EV with it to qualify for this though, to offset the emissions.

No. The actual plan is to continue to sell the old ones for longer, instead of discontinuing them in 2025 (at least for Macan; probably Cayenne also once the EV version is out). I assume since they are old models, they technically don't have to adhere to the new regulations.

It's not like Porsche is known for bringing design to production fast; so even if they were to design new ICE cars, it would be 2030 by the time they can ship them to customers. By then, they might not even be allowed to sell them, or they might long since not adhere to regulations.

Nope, it will have almost no emissions due to running VW code. Main benefit is that 15 years from now, they'll be made re-invest in Electrify America.

I hear they will also offer this as an OTA update.
