Hello all. I am new to this forum and have been reading up on bits and pieces while awaiting my 2022 Taycan S4.
It was a surprising choice to end op with the Taycan. Having tested 9 different EV’s (from Toyota to Lexus and Kia to Tesla, it was quite a strange mix!) I was actually curieus in how an all electric Porsche could be. I really figured without a 6-cilinder boxer shouting in the back it wouldn’t be much, just another EV. How wrong I was!
Considering the proces I tested the Macan, also too expensive for my taste and thinking it’s just a testdrive for fun (but of course don’t tell that to the dealer
.) Well, that car made a big impression, the comfort, the handeling, the power… so, maybe look into a secondhander! Nope, nog there yet for an interesting price, however, the Taycan starting from around €65000 for a very decent age and kilometers was interesting. So, another testdrive with a Taycan 4 this time. And o.m.g. that car actually had a very familiar feeling. My old 911s (1980 SC targa and 1984 Carrera 3.2 targa) are still in there somehow, such a familiar handling and feeling; absolutely amazing!
The bunch of other cars didn’t stand a chance. So, searching the west European market I found a 95%match (or better) to my perfect configuration. Very excited to meet her soon in real life!
I find it interesting to read a lot of ppl statig the Taycan is not a good competition to other EV’s. Definately not my opinion obviously. I believe this car is exceptionally amazing, in comparison to the competition. I’m sure there will come a moment where something isn’t working, a breakdown or whatever and I’ll briefly remember the Toyota who doesn’t stop. Ever. But driving a Porsche was, is and will be the best experience in car-world, and that makes up for almost everything!

and goes well which is pretty rare color called Frozen Berry, at least that is how it is called in the US. I have not seen one in real life and my dealer sold zero cars in that color.
