Now I love my 4S. I drive it as much as I can. But after 14,000 miles the leather on the steering wheel and on the passenger seat is starting to show some marks that I do not consider acceptable for this kind of mileage.
Pictures of the steering wheel attached. I’d appreciate some inputs from people over 10,000 miles. Thank you all!

No rings, extremely clean hands (and because of that very dry, but still.....) and standard interior. I believe the wheel is still covered in leather.

On my previous 911 there was zero deterioration on standard leather anywhere with the same mileage.

Can it be the result of Eco Leather and such?

I will be showing my dealer next week, but it's a really low mileage to have this kind of deterioration, in my opinion....

The wear in the photo does appear excessive. Regardless of whether the upgraded leather or unicorn leather, there will always be some signs of break-in/wear. Dont let others make it seem like this would not have happened if you spent more. Leather does wear…regardless of how much money you give Porsche. The key is that the wear should be minor and relatively uniform given the age of the car. I personally have found that both my wife and I need to be careful with our jewelry when it comes to steering wheels as we have both done some localized damage on past vehicles when it comes to leather steering wheels. It would be worth asking the dealer for a warranty replacement and see what they come back with.

I have extended black leather in my Taycan 4S and now have driven 20k km after exactly one year of ownership. Steering wheel is still ok but the outer side bolsters on both front seats show too much wear for this mileage and quality car.
As Silveral, I love my Taycan but the quality of leather is slightly disappointing. My merino in my earlier E92 M3 and F80 M3 was way better quality. When I asked in the Porsche dealership about this, they actually confirmed it and said that BMW Merino is the best reasonable priced leather on the market atm.
I actually dont worry too much about this. If the wear gets too much for my eye, I will change those bolster parts. One leather part is installed around 300 eur, so not too bad.
Otherwise I love the interior and clean all the screens almost every day. They still have to show their first scratch :).

Standard interior.
Limestone beige.
11,600 miles / 11 months

No signs of wear on steering wheel or seats (or anywhere).

Car doesn’t sit in sun much (always parked in garage at home)
Haven’t cleaned the leather yet either.

Out of interest, what do people use to clean their steering wheel - and how often?

I once used the wrong product on a car many years ago and the wheel became shiny and slippery.

I don't intend to make that mistake again. It was very noticeable when driving down country lanes.

OP I will take a photo of mine when next in car. 7k miles only though.
