My Profile is Greyed Out Porsche Connect

Hi,

I have a 2022 Taycan 4S. I’ve never had this problem before and I was always logged into Porsche connect.

14 days ago my car logged me out if porsche connect and each time I start the car it asks me to sign in but my login is ‘greyed out’.

It puts me in guest mode and I can’t seem to come out of it and therefore my iPhone my Porsche app does not pull the latest data.

I called Porsche connect customer services but they said to go to the dealer as there is an outstanding software update on the car. But they are not sure if this will help. I do not have an ‘account’ tile on the Home Screen. I do not have an account option in the settings section.

When I click the account login tile it gives me a QR code which I scan and login on my phone and it says successful on my phone. But on the car it says login not possible at this time.

1. Is the car in Privacy Mode (icon in the notification area suggests that it is)? If it is then disable.

2. The Account area is not a separate button or tile and is available from the drop down where 'Guest' is displayed.

3. Are you in an area of good cell reception?

4. If you have a secondary Porsche Connect ID assigned to your spare key then lock the car, wait 10 mins then unlock the car with the spare key to force an account change.

5. Disconnect the 12v battery for < 5 mins then reconnect to force a hard reset of the PCM.

Phone reception is ok. Tried multiple locations. The SOS button is fine and green

If you haven't already – might be worth the manual reboot of PCM first – it might save you disconnecting the 12v battery – if it works.

If you haven't already – might be worth the manual reboot of PCM first – it might save you disconnecting the 12v battery – if it works.

I had this issue after my internal alarm sensor was replaced. Dealer did the 12V reset for me and it worked.

Thank you it worked (number 5). Not sure why Porsche didn't tell me to try this!

Thank you it worked. Not sure why Porsche didn't tell me to try this!
Not sure why there isn't a "reboot" option in the PCM that would allow us users achieve the same without pulling power. Having not had to do this process myself – its reassuring to know that it does actually work.

May I ask, what size ratchet did you use to undo the negative terminal of the 12-volt battery?
