I had a friday 19th of May pick up, just got told today that they cannot do the check on the car which is just sitting at the showroom until the battery has been in the vehicle for 50 days - currently on approx 39 days at present, so best case scenario is 2 weeks away.

Annoying as it is - i do feel a little more clarity about when it is going to be delivered helps, now i can stop the guessing and hoping for a couple of weeks now :)

Congrats, how long was the wait once the car got to the dealership?
I waited maybe 10 days after the car got to the dealership (I asked for the calipers to be painted a different color) and then was about to pick it up about a week ago when the stop delivery order occurred, which was lifted today.

What was your build complete date? Mine was 28/04 but the production line pictures are dated 14/04.

I picked up a loan car this evening, flat-black, saloon, 4s, and had a similar update.
I don't remember all the details but they now have a specific date for when the battery is old enough to run the test. Porsche need 3 days again from sending the logs so, if its clear, 21st June it can go.
Still no info on what they are looking for but, I agree, I feel a lot less anxious now I have a timeline.
I saw, and sat in, my car for the first time. The Cherry paint looked A-ma-zing in the sunshine. No regrets.

My TYD updated from a 5/23/23 delivery date to 6/15/23. At least its updating, so we'll see if that sticks. Car is literally less than 300 miles from my house, argh lol

Oh no my Porsche is going to be a few weeks late because of a likely safety issue. Get a grip everyone, you are getting a new Porsche - a first world problem!
Shit happens! But you ain’t starving or in a war zone.
The lack of empathy...is this a Bolton thing...a no whinging get on with life sort of vibe? Whatever you do, don't read the post on my Taycan delivery. If you do you'll discover there is a catastrophe happing in Australia right now with new car deliveries. Each new car has to be inspected for bird poo and other nasties and this is taking our quarantine folks forever. There is a 20 ship backlog at my port of delivery. My ship only has about 7 ships ahead of it now. Apparently it's all an overhang from COVID with new car sales surging and not abating since. The ports authority (the Government) have not scaled up the quarantine resources. Can you believe it? Seriously!

Just had an update from my dealer - the 50 day battery thing in definitely what’s causing the delay. If there is no water ingress after 50 days it can be released. Now need to confirm the completion date to work out when it will be ready . ( presuming there is no water ingress that is ?)

Should have added... how can they possibly 'test' water ingress away from development stages of the Taycan back in the day? Is it based on the UK light drizzle, a storm 5 hurricane, a pressure washer??? Are cars in the south 'safe' as there is less rain, as long they the owners don't travel north. WTF.

Your dealer is Cambridge if my memory serves me? I’m also buying through Cambridge but have not been given this info, I probed last night and was told that my car should be seen to this week and data sent to Porsche. Build date was beginning of May though so nowhere near the 50 day mark, all very confusing and frustrating. I wish they’d just send a blanket email to everyone with some concrete info to stop all the guessing games.
