Yes, 22 sites currently open with 127 connectors for Ionity in the UK. There are more in construction /expansion to be fair though.

Well I guess you could say the same for Tesla 😂

Is anyone actually using the Tesla superchargers? I had a Tesla for over 3 years (lease finished a month ago) but only used Tesla only ones so never saw other makes of cars. Now I have the Taycan, I cant see how you can charge with the DC charge port on the left hand wing. The cable on the chargers (on V3 and older) wouldnt be long enough would it? I think I only stopped at a V4 once (when they upgraded Tebay this summer) and think that may be better for a Taycan but not sure. Of course you can occupy 2 stalls but that will go down really well at a busy time.
I thought it would be a pain moving away from the tesla charging network but actually, it seems far easier with lots of charging options and they seem to be less busy than the Tesla motorway chargers that seemed to be getting to almost fully occupied each time we did a long run. Between, ionity, MFG and the Porsche service centres, all my long runs seem to be covered.

I use Tesla Supercharger quite a lot. They are well placed at a few destinations I travel to frequently and also in the northeastern part of France. The alternatives are some not so well known brands that place 2 chargers on sites and very seldom work. The Tesla stations normally will have 16 to 28 stalls. But it is easier with a left hand drive car with charge port on the right side though.
The problem is still the short cables on some older chargers and one needs to park very tight the stops. Newer stations now place the chargers along the car and makes it very simple though. Even if the charge rate is lower they are extremely reliable and start charging much faster than Ionity. I also appreciate the rates since you are charged for the kWh cused. I have had A lot of trouble with other HPC, advertised at 300 kW but only delivering 80 - 90 kW in reality. Takes much longer plus the per minute fee makes it costly.

What is the cost of charging a "none Tesla" car on one of their chargers?
All pricing is on the Tesla app, as prices vary by site and also time of day (4pm to 8pm bring the usual peak). Some sites in the UK have four different charging periods per day

Good that someone else moved the wooden lamp post a bit. Just leaves enough space.

Thanks Peter,
Yep, it doesnt look do-able with a RHS car with the V3 and before. Reversing in will probably work if all the V4s are far enough forward in the bays, as per sim cities photo.

In the UK at a V2/V3 site -> If they've taken the bump stops out (they have now on many older sites) - then you can snug up, but you need to be parked in the bay next to where you should be if you were in a Tesla - in other words you will occupy two bays. Won't win you a popularity award if the SuC's are busy.

Here is my CT4S at the Tesla charger in Aviemore. I typically have to use two bays so tend to use it when things are quiet. There is also some parking to the right of the chargers so when there is a free space to the right of the right most charger I will park there and only take up one charging bay in the process.

Yes the stations with this layout is a blessing! And most V 3 stations have this design on my routes!

Hope this wii continue be the case.
