Yes the stations with this layout is a blessing! And most V 3 stations have this design on my routes!

Hope this wii continue be the case.

Ah yes the LHD Taycan has its DC port in the right place to not block two spaces at a V2/V3 Tesla site.

Us RHD Taycan drivers in Blighty, not so fortunate.

V4 Pedestals are in the ground now at
  • Newmarket (Studlands Retail Park off the A14) - 10 x V4
  • Luton (Gipsy Lane Retail Park, near airport!) - 16 x V4
Hopefully not too long before they get energised.

That is more Tesla sites than Ionity in the U.K.!
The penny just dropped for the Twitterati...(even though his Tesla numbers are out due to a reasonably known bug in the Tesla web map. Shhh don't tell Bill?)

Yes, noticed that this morning. Wasn’t sure if the announcement meant ASDA / EG / EVpoint were simply buying and rebranding existing Tesla superchargers and sites or planning a massive rollout of new v4 chargers using Tesla technology. Hopefully the latter!

Yeah. Tesla aren’t selling supercharger sites.

Just the boxes for other operators to use in their own networks.

OP now edited to include all Tesla V4-based sites I'm aware of variously either:
  • operational
  • built and awaiting energisation
  • in construction or
  • planning approved.

I've had a look around but can't see any map indicating if a site is V4 or not, would be helpful to identify sites with longer cables, anyone else found anything ?

They're all listed in my OP, but I will make a Google Map of all V4 sites over the break and put it in the OP.

Thanks, saw that at the top my thoughts were more off it'd be handy if it was in the (various) navigation systems. My wife and I *this tends to be a double hander when driving) tend to manually select v3's over v2's which you can ascertain by the listed output in the Tesla Nav. But v4's are (at the moment) effectively v3's so that system doesn't work, unless you j just happen to know that Luton(for example) is a v4.

Quite crucial really as it makes life a lot easier to charge and removes the double blocking of charging bays, hopefully someone will implement it one day.

You've reminded me to update the OP on here! Been lots of updates recently including Bromley opening last week.

I've been updated the similar thread over at SpeakEV, but neglected this thread. My bad.

Thought folks might want to know that Tesla have opened up the following twenty-four V2 / V3 sites today:
  • Norwich
  • Wyboston
  • London - North Greenwich
  • Dartford
  • Dartford (Service Centre)
  • Sevenoaks
  • Flimwell
  • London - Gatwick (Service Centre)
  • Portsmouth
  • Amesbury
  • Bristol - Cribbs Causeway
  • Camborne
  • Exeter - Darts Farm
  • Reading - Katesgrove
  • Reading
  • Oxford - Redbridge
  • Nottingham (Service Centre)
  • Nottingham - Victoria Centre
  • Derby
  • Leeds - Whitehouse Street
  • Aberdeen (Service Centre)
  • Perth
  • Northampton
  • Heathrow - Terminal 5
In summary there are currently 66 open-to-non-Tesla sites now in the UK. Made up of 51 of V2/V3 sites (24 of those opened today) and 15 of V4 sites.

I'll update the OP.

Enjoy! ?
