Porsche Paint Care Recommendations?

Does anyone have any detailing product recommendations in terms of what soap brand to use, Porsche leather cleaners etc.?

I was searching the forums but everything was generic.

don't fall for any of the brand specific marketing hocum. Porsche mainly use PPG paint and there's nothing specific about the leathers they use for interiors.

just go for a reputable brand.

Evening, the sky's the limit on detailing but for the average laymen some good quality PH neutral shampoo will do fine, the PH level is important as this can be used fairly effectively in sun (won't cause water spotting) and isn't too harsh on the paint. A good jetwash is useful to remove as much dirt before touching the car also (snow foaming is also an option but a ph neutral snow foam won't do anything anyway). After that entirely your choice, if you want to go the full beans then PPF is the ultimate protection with detailing sprays, wax, sealants and ceramic coatings serving as alternatives. They offer protection levels in that order. Personally I still like waxing a car I don't think you can beat the depth of shine but it doesn't offer as much protection of course as ceramic coatings or PPF.

I like Zaino Z6 and Z8 - I feel this is the best for exterior paint Finish.

My son uses Chemical Guys V05 - I feel is is not as good as Zaino!

As for leather protectant I like the BMW .interior cleaner protectant - Concentrate. One must dilute before using. This fairly inexpensive $8 or less at BMW parts.

I recommend DIY Detail products. Great value and tons of YT videos on how to use them to get great results.

If you really want to care for your leather, you'll use leatherique. It's a bit more of a process, but truly cares for your leather by hydrating and cleaning. I've been using it for years, makes a huge difference in the long-term care of your seats.

Meguires waterless wash and wax. My dealership said that’s what they use for the showroom finish.

Im currently using Meguiar's hybrid ceramic wash and wax for my cars and I really really like it. You get ceramic style beading for not much sweat. I also love their scratch-x product for swirls and scratches

I use Chemical Guys Mr Pink to wash. I also use it with foam cannon to soak while I wash wheels. I use Adams Wheel cleaner and dilute it 1/1 with water. Regardless of wether or not you have PPF or ceramic, I use Optimum Opti-Seal on paint and windows. You will love opti-seal. I have a coated PPF, which is very hydrophobic, but the opti-seal takes it to another level.

P.S. I use a CRSpotless deionizer to rinse and then simply use my leaf blower to dry it. Makes washing quick.

I’ll try this as I got the car ceramic coated. Should have gone ppf. Makes very little difference on my black car.
