Price increases

How often do they increase prices in the 4 months since I ordered my Taycan GTS they have increased twice!

The Audi RS GT I ordered had the price guaranteed at order.

It's crazy at this rate the car will be 15% more expensive from order to delivery.

My prediction is 10% in 12 months (to March next year).

Base price of GTS ST circa £112-114k.

On the flip side, it will see a lot of cancellations, meaning those who can stomach the increase will get their cars sooner.

I hope so as I'm Q4 2023 at the moment.

It feels wrong in someway as we have placed the deposit an committed to buying. I would rather the deposit was non refundable and they locked the price at order.

At this rate they‘ll be swallowing your deposit and you’ll be paying for the car on top

luckily when I look at the figure on the configurator and come to terms with it …I haven’t factored in deducting the deposit

You’re right i found it in the small print! They can also change the specification and colours and materials…

The worst case scenario is picking the car up from the dealers and it turns out they have changed the specifications so much, that its now a Nissan Quashqai with Porsche Taycan badges stuck on it.

Alright.. there is for new orders again an increase of 2% (minimum) incoming after this one.

New orders (in Belgium at least) will not longer have a price agreement.

My question too Dan - Mine was locked 2-3 weeks ago and one week ago I got 'scheduled for production' - not sure, but I think (more of a hope)... there is a chance the price is fixed at that point.

Would welcome confirmation from more experienced Porschers.

Only your SA will be able to confirm, one would hope that as you're scheduled for production then the price is fixed.
I'm only at stage 2 so I'm sure they hit me with the £1500. Unless they take a different view to MY increase?

Depends on your contract. In Belgium it is common that it is locked.. but now anymore

Great business model really isn’t it. Create demand that outstrips supply, get a large backlog of orders with deposits paid sat in their bank account…then put the price up during the delays. If a small percentage cancel they’re no worse off…same money but fewer cars to build.
