I drive a 2021 Cross Turismo 4S and use Apple Maps in CarPlay quite a bit. Since updating to the latest iPhone and operating system I've noticed when using Apple Maps for a trip I get a warning that the app can't give me the correct arrival battery percentage. It says it can't communicate with the car. This feature use to work fine before updating. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a setting I need to make or is this an Apple software problem?

Has IOS 26 turned off ‘live activity’ in the App ?

Go into the Porsche app and tap vehicle details then functions then Apple Maps ev routing and click the thing to sync it to Apple Maps again. I'm not sure if this is iPhoneOS26 or the recent routing update to add Tesla Superchargers that broke the connectivity but it is trivial to resolve.

Thank you so much. I see that now in the Porsche App. Never thought to look there. Thanks again

Hi!
I have the same in my 2023 Taycan. Since uodating to iOS 26, Apple Maps hasn’t been able to get the SoC of the car. Tried to “resync” by going via the Porsche app, didnt work. I tried to delete the car in Apple Maps to add it again, but now I cant even add the car, I don’t get the option to do it even if I go via the Porsche App.

Edit: tried unpairing my phone from the Taycan, to get the vehicle to show up in Apple Maps, didn’t work. However after updating iOS 26.1 PB 2 I got the car to appear in Apple Maps and sync the state of charge for EV routing. So definitely an iOS 26/26.0.1 issue

I'm on 26.3 and this issue remains. Constantly having to sync it back again from the Porsche App. Occasionally it disconnects and reconnects, but mostly it disconnects and doesn't work again until goes through the set up again.

I don’t have connection issues but CarPlay is no longer picking up the battery SoC for trip planning. This has been broken and fixed many times by Apple.

Hey Tim, if you could get right on this…..

I have to keep on deleting my car in the Maps app and adding it back via the Porsche app. It disconnects every day. Probably every time I turn the car off.

Try using 26.4 beta 2, they changed some stuff in carplay, perhaps it's fixed

This continues to be a problem. Every time I want to use Apple Maps for a trip I have to open the Porsche Connect app and go through the process of adding Apple Maps. I’m running the latest version. It’s a real pain and it wasn’t always like this.

Having driven Teslas before my Taycan I’m so used to not having CarPlay that I prefer a car’s native system. Taycan’s system has phone and Apple Music/podcasts so that’s enough for me. I use a magnetic stand for my iPhone Waze.

I thought the issue was that Apple Maps via CarPlay wasn’t working correctly but you’re not even running Waze via CarPlay? I typically send the navigation instructions to Porsche but still have Waze running on the main screen. Porsche’s native app runs on my HUD and the right side of the driver dashboard so I don’t need it on the main screen.
