Morning,

I’m after some assistance if at all possible.
I keep getting proximity alerts even though the car is not close to objects.
Sensors on the front bumper are all clean.
Getting them just sat in traffic and at least 2m from the car in front.
Any help would be appreciated,

Maybe it wants to listen to some up to date music?

I assume you mean the 'parking' alert rather than collision avoidance? The latter i occasionally get if driving down a parked up narrow street - which makes you jump and more likely to crash!

Otherwise, it sounds like you've got something on a sensor, which you clearly haven't. Maybe someone has bump parked you and moved it out of alignment?

Nothing wrong with the 80’s :like:
Thanks for your input, I’ll take a look later just to make sure no one has nudged the bumper.

Bit of a long shot, but only takes a couple of minutes. Try the PCM engineer reset (2 finger thingy).

I fairly infrequently get similar warnings but from all sides depending on proximity of vehicles either passing me whilst stationary in a turn lane or as you are having, waiting in a turn lane or at a traffic stop.
Difference poss that my warnings only happen when objects much closer than 2m/6ft - more like 2-3 ft. max. My cameras come up to illustrate the culprit - normal behaviour when certain assistance systems active and rel. rare so not an issue for me.

I had this for a while a couple of years ago, it turned out my number plate had become slightly loose at the front and apparently this is enough to send the sensors at the front haywire.

Have you checked your number plate? That was the first thing OPC suggested and to my surprise it was the fix.

Thank you, I’ll take a look later tonight 👍🏻
