Hi all

I’ve been reading the posts here for a few weeks.

I’m in the process of getting my first taycan which will also be my first EV. Any advice is welcome.

I’m looking at a MY22/23 4S cross tourismo. I’ll be looking to buy directly from a Porsche dealership as you get the added warranty

some of the extras I’d like are

pan roof
Sports chrono pack
Upgraded sound system
4+1 seats
Passenger display

Would be good to know if there are any other options you would recommend and if any of the above aren’t great.

Thanks in advance

My passenger display is rarely used.

It's an unpopular opinion but I don't think ACC is required (I don't use it at all). I'd still option it as a nice to have and lots of people expect when you go to sell.

Required for me: Battery+, Active Ride (j1.2 only), Rear Wheel Steering, PTV, Surround View with Active Parking Support, Premium Package (at least ventilated seats and Bose).

After buying my car, add 14 way comfort seats to that list (over 18 way sports seats).

Be aware that parts shortages in the time frame you are looking at may cause some of your desired options to be scarce. For example, when I ordered my MY23, Bose and Burmester were unavailable along with electric steering wheel adjustment.

That was correct in that time. Therefore my Taycan lacks the photochrome glassroof (sunshine-control we call it here)

The OP is looking for a CPO Taycan though.

Yes of the options I’d say passenger display isn’t essential.

On the Taycan CTs the performance battery plus is pretty standard for the years I’m looking at.

and yes I did wonder how much I may use the sports chrono but maybe I’m mistaken but does that come with heated steering wheel? Or is that a separate option?

In order:
Perf battery plus
ACC (cannot live without it since I have stop/go sections in my daily highway commute)
RAS
Bose or Burmester
Insulated glass
Ventilated seats
Sport Chrono
PDCC/PTV+

Don't forget about:
- auto dimming mirrors
- folding mirrors
- lane change assist

all essential but not standard on j1.1

I was in a very similar boat to you. My thread here

https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/prospective-new-member-some-queries.30720/

I would personally advise against buying from Porsche Tewkesbury based on my experience. Paid for the car end of October. I have had it for a total of I think 4 or 5 weeks - it has been back with them since for a number of issues. Most issues were avoidable if they thoroughly checked the car pre delivery (they did Not).

one issue was the heater being dead on arrival which is a common issue - but that means their driver drove 200 miles to me to deliver the car in the freezing cold and didn’t think to report back to the dealer at any stage the heating wasn’t working.

your experience would vary, of course. You may have a better experience
